If you do call them get some old credit cards and give them a set of numbers from each card so they spend there time trying to use bogus numbers. I do it when anyone wants me to send a credit card number. Its probably the nigerians at it again

The scammers must have realized that the number they were asking people to call has been confiscated by the Fedral Trade Commission. I received the same message with a new number to call :
(9177243915) First-Midwest-Bank Notice. Please call 505-633-7784.

Got a text message from 917 749 5753 First Midwest Bank FFGY alert 984788. Please call (217) 651-6106. I forwarded the text to Verizon Wireless (7726) to report it.

I actually called verizon to ask them if someone hacked thier system. they told me no one has hacked thier system but if you are a verizon customer to forward the text to 7726 you will receive a reply from 7726 and then you reply with the number it came from! the 7726 number is the verizon fraud alert!

I called it and there is NOW a recording from the Federal Trade Commission when you dial that number warning about phishing scams. Never give out any information---but sometimes I call numbers just to see what they say--but NEVER give out any information.

I would never give them any info nor did I even call the number. I am a verizon customer not sure if its just a verizon thing that they got our numbers, we have 4 phones (family) and we all got the same text. From West Central Illinois. Unfortunately there are some that may call it and give out what ever info they ask for. I think all cell carriers should send out a mass text to their customers as soon as they first notice of this type of scam or any other these lowlifes try.
