Got a txt message:
"AMGB ALERT: Your CARD starting with 4309 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 225-360-3944."

Call the number on your card RIGHT NOW and report it to them. You need to get a new card number.

I recieved this message also. The wierd thing about it was my card was declined this morning saying too many pen entries were tried. Thought that was strange so when I got to work I went to call my card company and noticed this text. So I totally fell for it, I put my card number in and it hung up Im not sure how much if any info someone can get just from the card number without the expiration and code on back.

I work for the bank that it is referencing. It is definitely a phishing scam!

Definitely a scam. The *first* four digits of your credit card are common to many thousands of people!
And any real communication from your bank or credit card company would tell you to call the number printed on the back of the card.

Received a text from 1-225-907-9267 with the message "AMGB ALERT: Your CARD starting with 4309 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 225-360-3944." Don't know what this is, but the number apparently belongs to a florist in Plaquemine. Probably a scam.
