got calls, annoying to have to loose minutes for stupid calls like these

Your problem has been going on for awhile , I to was getting emails for other folks , through verizon , and our home phone , from a wire on the telephone pole to the house was used as a cell phone number by someone else. We no longer have verizon , and all of problems stop. Good Luck.

Received the same call about Dish network.  They are calling me on my work phone, and this is the 2nd time this week.  I get these calls at least 2 times a week.

We have been on the "National Do Not Call Registry List" for several years for what good it does.  This company calls frequently but with a different set of the last 4 digits.  When I finally answered the call, I first received an automated message from Dave Anderson who says "we understand you are having trouble making mortgage payments" (which we are not) and to press 1 to talk to a representative.  This time I did to tell them not to call here any more. The lady was extremely rude and hung up on me before I could say even anything else.  I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.

We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST, however, our phone line are crossed with someone who is not so when their phone rings, we get it too.
This is going on for 3 fricking weeks and Verizon still can't find where the lines ae crossed.

Since other coompanies can provide phone service, it possible we are not even crossed with another Verizon customer so this could dran on forever.

An automated call is made from multiple numbers about extending a car warranty and when I get through to an operator to remove the number they hang up immediately

Telemarketer offering a home security system from ADT. I asked for info about system. When I asked for a number to call back after I think about it, he said "Sure I'll give you the number." and hung up.

Received calling stating "this is disk network" and new equipment should have arrived today ??? by pressing one you will also receive a free Disney trip.  I'm already a disk network customer and KNOW we didn't order any new equipment.  I tried to call number back and get a recording that call cannot go through.  I'm on the DO NOT CALL list, but since connecting my number on 12/24/08, the SPAM telemarketing calls and collection calls have been through the roof.  I'm getting SICK of answering my phone.

Numerous calls in Dec 2008 and Jan 2009, for warranty expiration. Pickup phone and no one answers, phone goes dead.

Got this call from 269-768-2439 Caller ID reads "S Smithin" No message was left

has anyone been able to stop the calls from this number ? if so, would you pls enlighten me as to how to stop the calls............

Received call at 5:31pm on 12/11/08.  Home phone number is unlisted so I have no idea how our phone number was obtained.  We have had this phone number for less than a month and already are receiving telemarketer calls.  What I don't understand is how quickly these calls have started considering the fact that phone numbers are supposedly "retired" for at least 3 months before they are reissued.
