I got a call today and have received several calls.  Today they said they were a firm called American Law Division.  It would be in my best interest to return the call as there was legal action pending against me in the state courthouse.  I do not plan to call the number back.  I presume it is a scam.  I love how these scam artists continue to get away with bothering people at work!

THIS IS A SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money for fictitious crimes or your personal ID.

This company claims to be Cash Advance America and/or American Judgement Services which I have never heard or or dealt with.  I talked with a David Cooper (NOT) guy was foreign so his name certainly is not David Cooper.  he claimed i borrowed money from cash advance america (which i never have) and Mr. Cooper explained that i owed them $700 some odd dollars and then once they involved their atty's to file suit/judgement against me i would owe $5,484.00.  I explained to Mr. Cooper that i work for lawyer's as a legal assistant and that i wanted some type of documentation regarding this so called loan, when it was deposited, how much, etc.  all he could tell me was that they gave me $400 sometime in August of 2010.  He tried to say they have sent me several emails (never got any) and then he told me to contact Cash Advance America at 281-982-2299.  so i called them and they could give me no more info then Mr. Cooper.  I called my bank and they show no deposit for $400 nor do they show a Cash Advance America EVER making a deposit to my account.  These guys are trying to get your info so they can steal your money.  I am going to contact the Ohio Attorney General's office as well as the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint against these guys.  Don't let them threaten you, tell them you will contact your attorney and have them give you as much info as you can get.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO WHATSOEVER....... I guarantee once you tell them your contacting an attorney they won't call back.  I tried to get the guy to give me a fax number so i could fax a letter and even asked for his email which he would not give.  if these companies were legit you could find them online buy running a search for their phone numbers, name of the company something but everything leads back to these pages where ppl just report that they received calls.

Indian man called saying my mother commited financial fraud and I was used as a reference. I tried to call back and recieved a busy signal.

This is a scam don't answer they try to scare you. If you are worried ask them to send the info to you. Also, when asking what courthouse they are sending it to they normally can't answer you. They are full of crap

I got calls from them too and they gave me two didffrent company names. He told me to hold and he was transferring me to Restituion Officer. Then he came right back on the line as if he was someone else. Just like above TV in the Back Ground. My Caller Id said Hayward Baker I say we all start calling him back. Today he was American Business Services and Friday he called and was some Law Firm!

Same thing as listed above but the indian man told me that the sheriff was going to come to my house and that I was in violation of my social security somehow. I have a feeling like it was a scam of some sort.

I recieved the same call from 281-982-2299 and they stated the same thing. This website is a life saver!! Every number that I've ever thought to be a scam was listed here!

called left a message saying was from us legal customs. said i must called back or my attorney.    that if i did not called back i would be in a lot of trouble. you can hear tv in the background calling from   home. have a india accent..
