They called here earlier tonight and told my mom that it was Publisher's Clearing House. They offered her all kinds of prizes and free magazines. Then they called a second time asking for either her credit card or bank info. She told them no thank you and hung up. They called back a third time and my dad answered. No one was there that time. These people are ridiculous! My parents are both 71 years old.

Just received a call from this woman who claimed that she was calling from a Publishing sweepstakes and that my credit card company entered me into a drawing for all of these fabulous prizes because I'm such a good customer, yada yada yada. I listened for a moment, and asked her to remove my number from her list when she took a breath. She very rudely said, "NO!" and hung up on me. I would love to know where she received my number from.

I dont believe that for one second. If it was so legit and such an amazing deal, they wouldn't swear at you because you dont want to give them personal info, they wouldnt NEED personal info, they wouldnt hang up on you and they would answer their damn phone instead of being cowards and liars. Give me a break.

Caller called me by my first name and told me numerous credit card companies were rewarding good clients with drawing in Publisher Sweepstakes. She knew my home address. Then asked me about the weather. Hot. Then she asked if I was keeping cool with fans and air conditioners, I didnt respond but instead asked her what she was calling about. She listed cash prizes and an all expenses paid vacation drawing on Dec 31 (no year). Then she said she just needed to ask me a few questions. "How old are you?" I told her I wasnt going to answer any personal questions. She got snarky and said, "You little bi***" and hung up on me.

I tried to call back. After about 20 rings, someone picked up the phone because you could hear call center noises in the background and then it went quiet. I called a second time and got a busy signal.

This is not only a scam, but this person is VERY RUDE when you start asking the questions.  She got so mad she called me a B**** and hung up.  Of course, she would not pick up the phone when I called her back.  My advise is to hang up on her before you wind up in her web of deceit and lies.  Don't become vuneralbe to this kind of creep who finds it easy to manipulate innocent people. It took me time and lots of letters to unwind my mother from this type of web.
Message to the scam artist just in case you check to see what others are saying about you.  I hope someone does to you what you are trying to do to others.  Why don't you stop trying to steal from people and get a real job.

OMG I jus got same call from woman rep of publishers sweepstakes n stated that one of my credit cards or bank she couldn't tell only that it was premier card or account  asked me if I'm married, total household income, our professions, n husband first name to b added to an additional entry. I won 6 diff magazine subscriptions free of charge for 2 years n after 2nd year it automatically stops n I won a watch arriving 2-3 days n automatic entry into dec 31 drawing for two of four prizes n to pick two now.either 25,000, 2013 SUV, home makeover or trip.asked how weather is n have a blessed day.

When I refused to give identifying information to the woman on the phone she said, "oh not another one!" and hung up on me. Rude. Next time I will ask them to remove my number from calling list.

12/30/12. I received a call from a very sweet sounding female who inuired about the weather as a conversation starter. She then informed me that I was a final contestant from a pool of credit card user's, and she verified my address. She then wanted to get some further "contestant" information starting with my age. When I told her that I don't give any information on the phone, she hung up. When I call the Hearst Inc number, it just rings.

Calls constantly, never leaves a message.  Caller ID comes up, "Hearst Inc."  Credit Card Scam selling magazines.

I received a call today, Oct. 5, 2012 and the woman claimed she was from some Publishing Company and
that I had won something....I asked her if this was a "solitation call" and she stated "Oh God"!!!!

I really did not appreciate how she used her verbage and statements!

I want them to stop and will find out how to report this phone number 310-831-3497.

Unwanted call

They start off really nice.  Small talk was pleasant.  Then they said I was put in a drawing blah blah blah.  Then was offered magazine subscription & asked info like address.  Then when I said I didn't want to be in drawing. She said OK and hung up on me!!!

I received a phone call didn't answer being didn't know who it was glad I didn't being DON'T have time to waste dealing with these crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after getting several calls from this number always seems to be the same number i called my bank to ask why or how i was put in a drawing they said there was no such drawing and that it was fraud and everyone who gets calls from this number needs to call thier card issuing bank and let them know so that they can get this company/lady shut down.

This lady has been harassing my husband and i for the last couple of days. its always the same woman calling saying weve won something through our credit card. when i tell her i'm not interested she hangs up on me then when i call back the line picks up then hangs up.

Yesterday I got a call from a women saying that I was entered into this sweepstakes by a credit card company or bank and she wanted me to verify my address when I asked her... who had entered me she hung up! I tried calling but it just rings and rings... no one answers!!

called me on Jan 13, 2010. I tried calling back but got a busy signal. I called back again on Jan 14, and a woman picked up and asked who it was. I asked who she was and she told me she needed my name so she could look me up in her computer. I told her she had called me the other day and she told me to disregard the number.

2 calls w/in 10 minutes, called back 2 times thereafter in anticipation of another call & they hung up immediately while hitting other numbers simultaneously (digit tones were heard). Thx for the information.

I got a call from this number saying that I was a finalist for the Publisher sweapstakes!!!! All they wanted was my information!!! I hung up on them. THEY CALLED BACK!!!! Told me that I handled it wrongly and that I was being rude. I asked to talk to a manager and the lady laughed at me and said that it would never happen! She kept telling me how rude I was and then she hung up on me!!!!

called this number back and it's just a busy number. probably a scam!  it was meant to be a missed call.  i didn't have to listen to what they have to say.

got a call from this number today......My bankcard entered me in a contest for being such a good consumer....yeah.....caller wanted personal info....when I refused and asked what kind of scam this was she hung up.

Offered choices of prizes in a drawing to be held next Dec.  $25,000 cash or hybrid vehicle.  Six magazines free, plus purchasing one.  Wanted credit card # or bank info.  Then said that I would be billed $19.95/month. Not exactly free!

Called and hung up.  Called back and busy line.
