This guy blocked my Netflix account.  A message popped up that said that someone was trying to access my account from a foreign country.  I was so caught off guard that I gave him my email and right away he started bringing up files and immediately realized he was not from Netflix.  I too, asked him where he was calling from and he said the Phillipines.  He gave me a bogus "Netflix" number and it was an 866.  I called it and noone answer but the guy was stupid enough to call me right back calling from the 319 area code number. He asked if I had called and I asked who he was and he said this is Netflix.  I had already called Netflix and knew he was not from there.  I reported this to the FBI and called Netfix back and gave them the 319 number.  Hope they catch him.  He evidently has several 800 numbers.

I got that call today as well.  "Frank Martin" ID #1912 calling from Microsoft Technical Lab about the problem reports your computer sent in today.  "You have a virus that will delete photos and more and I've been assigned to help you fix your computer".  I asked who he was again, and he said Frank Martin from Technical Lab.  I looked up the phone number above which my call came in on as well with caller ID from Palo, IA.  I asked for his street address and he said he was actually based in the Phillipines.  He wanted me to open a Run box on my computer and open a command prompt.  I said I was having a problem with his credentials.  He responded that if I was skeptical, I could fix the problem myself and hung up.  Doesn't sound like something Microsoft would support or do to me :-)  Now if he'd asked for my credit card, maybe it would have been legit Microsoft, haha.  

Claims to be Microsoft telling me they are getting a notice that my computer has a virus. Wants me to go through a series of commands in the RUN menu.  I didn't do it and you shouldn't either.
