Called "in regards to my interest in increasing my credit card security". The caller "reminded" me that I clicked a link on a website about this.  I said I did not recall this and he hung up. This is shady!

That makes no sense at all. Companies don't pay OTHER companies to call their customers to "verify" credit cards... the only people who would call you to do this would be your bank or credit card company, or perhaps the one you purchased from.

I CALLED THIS NUMBER AND FOUND THAT IT WAS A CONFIRMATION CENTER. IF YOU CALLED A COMPANY AND USED A CREDIT CARD, THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK TO VERIFY YOUR ORDER...HOPE THIS HELPS.
