You situation is exactly the same as mine. How they got my husbands office phone number is beyond me but it must stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people call nearly every day.  Today is Sunday and we received a call @ 6:35 pm.  They don't leave messages and we don't answer the phone.

My caller ID says NRDC 323 330 1435.  These calls are at least two a day. No messages left on answering machine. When I answered the  phone noone was there.   I called the number back, a recorded message said I had reached the National Resources Defense Council and to hold for a representative.  I finally gave up after 24 rings.  Who are these people?

This number keeps calling day or night as late as 9 P.M.  It is very annoying.  We are on the NO CALL LIST and I am fed up with them calling all the time, 2 - 4 times a day/night.  HELP?

Please take my name and phone number off your lists.

This number is the NRDC (National Resource Defense Council) telemarketing number. Since I am a member of NRDC I emailed them from their web site and requested that if this number is associated with them to please drop me from the call list.  They answered my email and were very nice about it since I explained that I was deaf and don't answer voice calls.  The have flagged my membership record and noted that I was not to be called.  Since then I have not received any more calls. Received a call, yesterday, Sunday, in the afternoon from this number. Caller ID said "Unknown Caller". The woman said she called from the NRDC (which I used to contribute to in the past) and they wanted to re-activate previous memberships. When I told her I was no longer in a position to donate, she did not take no for an answer. She said they were trying to save the polar bears, which she was personally interested in, because she wanted her three year old daughter to see them in the zoo (!!!). She said they had been saving the grey wolf already, and they corrected herself that it had been the grey whale instead. Quite obviously, she was uninformed and not interested in the animal species' survival per se. She finally gave up when I continued to resist. Perhaps one should complain to the main office directly.

I just called the office of the NRDC. They confirmed that they are presently running a campaign. When I tried to complain about the abusive tactics that were being used, including their ignoring of the National Do-Not-Call list the woman's answer was: "Do you want to make your contribution now over the phone?" I said, did you not hear what I said?" She replied "If you don't want to make a contribution, don't call us," and hung up. I think their behavior should be reported to the Better Business Bureau or some other agency.  Perhaps someone else who has been receiving these phone calls can take the next step.  These people who claim to be defenders of our environment, are polluters of our private sphere, and their tactics are utterly ruthless.

Charities and debt collectors are allowed to call even if you're on the Do Not Call Registry. That's the FCC law. I get calls from all kinds of charities and they're obnoxious and pushy. I just started getting calls from the NRDC. I was a member of  NRDC years ago.

They call often, I Don't pick up. Wish they'd take a hint.

Got a call today 9/9/10 from 323-330-1435, caller id NRDC.  when I picked up after several rings, no answer.  They're still at it!

If it is NRDC, they will soon be able to list me as an EX-member.  I've already dropped several organizations for stunts like this.

Wake up people!  NRDC is a charity taking advantage of the loophole in the do-not-call regulations that *EXEMPTS* charities and political organizations from do-not-call.  Remember to "thank" your friendly local politician for this come November.

Daily calls at different times. Would a legitimate caller hide their identity or fail to state their reason for calling?

Call came at 7:35 PM Eastern Time. Caller hung up when answering machine took the call. We do not take calls from numbers without other ID or information.

My wife donates to this organization...specifically asked for email correspondence only.  She's out of town, while I've been working in my studio which is attached to the house.  The last few days I've been interrupted by this number close to six times daily.  No messages...just lots of calls from "OUT OF AREA".  Guess I'll have to be the meany next time around.

I am disappointed with NRDC's phone tactics.  I support the organization, but find the repeated calls every night with no message left quite annoying.  Is there someone further up the food chain at that organization who might be interested in maintaining a better image?

They called again, at 8:43p on 10/6.  Even weirder, they're calling a # different from the one that they might have on file for us as past donors. Not a good sign.

should identify themselves

I received a call from 1-323-330-1435 at 7:53 PM  MDT.  Caller hung up and failed to identify by voice or leave message.

I need to add that they called on a line that they would not have for us in their files from prev. donations....which is even worse!

They called at 8:46p on a Fri night!  Only the # showed up so I assumed it was spam.  Sad if it was NRDC...my husband & I do their online action alerts and have contributed in the past.  We are pro-environment, but don't like non-profits that make unsolicited calls :(

My wife answers the phone and they ask for me and do not give any information to her. STOP CALLING!!!

I just pick it up after 2 rings, no one is on the other end, no background noise of anything then it disconnects.
