I get 10 calls a day like this.  In fact, just got another 2 minutes ago.

336-329-6024 called today, April 10. I am in Canada/West Coast.
416-849-1432 called yesterday, April 09. I did not pick up and they did not leave a message. I blocked the number, which is apparently per 'google' well known... see http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/DNCL/dncla_2012.htm, 2nd entry.

The 336-329-6024 surprisingly left a message: male caller, just the one sentence: "it is extremely urgent that we speak to the business owner".
Well, here is no business, never was and prob. never will be.

336-329-6024 called our business today and said that we have not claimed our Google business listing and that they have tried numerous times to contact us.  It was an AUTOMATED CALL.  We've had this same call from several different phone numbers with different area codes.  They always ask to speak to the business owner.  The business owner does not work in this office and I've told them they can speak with his assistant....at which point they hang up.  If this is Google I am very saddened and disappointed that they have such a rude business practice.  We are also on the National Do Not Call Registry and continually get this calls.  We report all of the numbers, but they keep coming up with new ones like this.  

I got a call from this number, but i didn't answer. Our phone number is registered in the 'Do Not Call Registry' list, so i don't understand why someone from Burlington, NC would be calling us.

I was volunteering when this number called.  No voice mail, nothing!  I didn't answer because I'm in southern California.  Phone says it was from Burlington, NC.  Must be another crook.  Called me around 3:00 pm today.

Recording announced that I am not listed on Google, etc. i PUSHED #1 TO TALK TO THE PERSON. E IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS "ANDREW" OR SOMETHING THAT SOUNDED LIKE THAT. I told him  that I am not a business and am on the DNC list. Then he called me a "stupid a-hole", told me to "suck his c--k". I HUNG UP.

What's wrong here?

I just missed a call from this number. I called them back and a recording came on explaining that if I wanted my number added to their DO NOT CALL LIST, to press 1.
This would lead me to assume it is a solicitation call.

Called 2x today.  first time I didn't answer.  second time I tried to answer but no one was there by the time I picked up (or they hung up -- can't tell.  No voice mail.
