Well, whadya know... "Peter Morris" (Seriously?  With an Indian accent that thick you pick "Peter Morris" ???)  called me, too, with the same song and dance: that I four charges being pressed against me and I was being sued (which, by the way, are two completely different things.)  He was doing well until he asked for money.  When I lit into him, he, of course, hung up.  Phone number was 347-509-3078, however... you've been warned.

A foreign speaking man called saying he was a Federal Lawyer and my 18 year old son had taken out a online loan and he hadn't paid it back so a warrant was being issued for him. I told the man he was full of it and to never call again.

returned call after a voice mail was left for me. caller proceeded to tell me they were "American Law Enforcement"When i asked what all this was about i was told i had to speak with a supervisor i was put on hold and another man sounding just like the first man, with an Indian accent told me that an arrest warrant will be issued Monday morning for my arrest because I "defrauded" on a loan from Cash Now USA. i was going to be charged and have to pay up to 7000$ unless i could make a out of court settlement of 489$.

I got this call too today, will be contacting law enforcement the individual called me a f****ng c*** and stupid mother f****r

I have received numerous calls from this number saying there has been a warrant out for my arrest for financial fraud of unpaid loans i have NEVER received and that i should be arrested by next week. he than called back not even 5 minutes after i said to NOT call me ever again saying that i need to be arrested. not sure what this is about.

I can't do it for real because I am not registered, but consider this a thumbs up!

But with nothing between the ears, even that doesn't seem to slow them down  ;-)

The only problem with using an air horn is that most of these scumbags have two ears and you have to do it twice before they learn.

Rec'd call from someone calling from American Law Enforcement - he called at work.  Threatened arrest if I don't call him back ASAP.
He also called my home phone-All he got out of his mouth was my name-which he could barely say and I blasted him was an air horn.  After a few expletives in his native tongue-I'm sure he was cussing me out-he hung up.  If he calls back-he will get another air horn blast.  Maybe after he loses his hearing he will stop calling and harressing me for debts I don't have.

I get calls too from this Jack Smith guy.  Threatened me, I reported it to IC3 under FBI. Hopefully something will be done.

I GOT THE SAME CALLS THIS MORNING FROM A "DAVID MORRIS" HAVE NO CLUE WHY THEY ARE CALLING ME BUT I CALLED HIM BACK TO LET HIM KNOW HE IS FULL OF IT AND NOT TO CALL ME ANYMORE AND NOW HE IS SAYING HIS NAME IS "JACK SMITH". I TOLD HIM TO STOP CALLING TRYING TO MAKE THREATS CUZ I WILL GET HIM FOR HARRASSMENT AND MY LAWYER WILL BE ALL OVER HIS A** AND HE HUNG UP ON ME SO I CALLED BACK AND NOW HE WONT ANSWER...LOL

Saw this number mentioned in a Fort Worth Star Telegram [newpaper] article today mentioning the names Peter Morris or Jack Smith.  Clearly a scammer that has been operating awhile now.  Beware!

keep getting called twice daily from a tim Morris, that has a law suit against my name and social number, and if i don't answer his call a warrent for my arrest is being issued at some court house.. what to do?

I forgot to include that he had all my personal information.... so this Peter Morris is not an officer....or Jack Smith or what ever name he goes by is not who he says....I hope if people read this that if you get a call laugh in his face, but make sure he don't have your information. Like he did with me.....

I got the same call but he pretend to be a police officer named Peter Morris, but his answering mechine says Jack Smith... he had called me saying I had a loan and he was sending a warrant for my arrest... little did he know I made a report to my local police department and I am protected...I took all the. Steps I needed. As the police officer told me....this guy from this number called me again so I had told him I made a report to official and are aware of what was going on, the guy stated I will go head with the Warren...I said for what, he said don't argue with me, then hung up on me.....so I called hi and no anwser.....this 347-377-7756  is a scam just now he must be not to smart....but how he got my work number is just unreal....also I am not the only one in my cities to report it.....do what you can protect your information. At all cost...for it s to ur life

Have you had any luck?  He can be really nasty.  I just reported/filed a complaint on him through the FTC.gov

This guy Jack Smith has been calling me from this number at work, at home several times a day. Even on sundsy. He has harassed me, my boss, my coworker. Threatened to throw me in jail. I am tired of dealing eith this guy.

He is calling again.  Can anyone tell me how to make him stop?  Besides changing my phone number?  He is also calling my work.  I just hope he doesn't get a hold of anyone here and spread that B.S. about me owing money.

I have gotten the same call and he identifies himself as an attorney, but can't understand a blasted word he says.  He threatened me and I have so far sent him $300.00 by moneydot/greendot cards.  I supposely owed $792.89.  And he has been calling my cell phone & work 30 times just today alone and all this past weekend.  I am not going to send any more money and ignore the calls.  I feel like such an idiot!  But I was scared and just got my job and can't afford to lose it.  I'm glad I went and looked into this and found this site.

For fraud... what a scam. Told him he was getting nothing and go to hell.  It is now my personal goal to catch this scum

I got the same call too. Wanted me to get a money pak and give him the numbers. Then he wanted me to fax the information to him. Like a fool I fell for it because I do have some payday loans. I thought it had escalated and he was a collection agency. I figured out he was a scammer when he called me the next day and told me the same thing but from a different company. I called the company and they said I had no account with them.

I got the same call. He told me I would be arrested and spend 18 months in jail. He said I would be called Fraud Lady.

The person calling himself Jack Smith called me 26 times in one day. About every 20 minutes.

I got the same call from someone calling themselves Jack Smith. When I asked for more specific information he became even more hostile than he already was. I asked for his bar number (he said he was an attorney in NYC) and he gave me 4 numbers. I checked on the numbers but attorneys in NY don't have bar numbers.

I got a call that I needed to Western Union money to someone in Waukegan, IL.

So did I. I even corrected how to pronounce my name and he still couldn't say it properly. I could hear other voices in the background like he was calling from a call center.

I got the same call from the same person. I told him I was referring the matter to my attorney and never call me again. He called me back within seconds and asked why I hung up on him. I pressed him for information and he asked me why I needed it. I told him it was for my own documentation. He said the only documentation I needed would be from the arrest warrant issued against me.
