Claimed to be from the WA State Patrol.  This scam has been around a LONG time, and so when I went to interrupt the guy to tell him I was familiar with the scam, he told me NOT to interrupt him.  Wow, nothing like a criminal tele-scammer calling and telling me to shut up.  Have had thousands of scam calls, and have been ignoring them, and blocking them  for years (which hasn't stopped them from calling).  You have to be quite the lunk head, to be rude to the potential mark.  Most of the scams are connected to one another, as we ALWAYS get the calls in batches around the same time.  Lately, we have been getting up to 3 calls a day that are running the "card services" scam (and figure that our next call shall be such a call).  .  

Git the call tonight too...if you do find a way...please post it. filing a complaint eith the FTC is the only thing I know...but it is not effective.

Got a call 2/25/14, around 6:00 pm.  Caller said nothing, then hung up.

The call was from the Washington State Troopers soliciting donations. I have checked this outfit with the Secretary of State and they are not registered in Washington. Several years ago I found that they "donated" about 4 cents on the dollar to the State Patrol. Do not allow them to take any money from your. They are just another crooked scam supporting unworthy people who are too lazy to get real jobs, pay taxes, or live with pride.

Called but left no voice mail.

Solicitors should be required to follow basic phone etiquette, instead of trying to trick people.

They called from 360-529-3216 today, didn't leave a message and when I phoned back no identification on the voicemail.

I don't know about anyone else but I have a teenager that has recently become able to drive on her own so I became immediately upset especially when I could not get ahold of these idiots.

Not nice, unprofessional and for some people scary, thank god for this service.

Called again today stating they were from the Washington StatePatrol.  I told then the WSP didn't make these type of calls, that i had asked to remove my number a couple of years ago and that didn't happen, so I told them this was a scam and I was hanging up.  Someday, I'm going to get a whistle!

My number is unpublished, and these people are calling constantly harassing me illegally.  They say nothing if you answer, and they hang up if you let it go to the answering machine.  I want to find out who they are and go after them (!!!)  If anyone get any info, please respond.

Same as many of the others.  Feel like I'm being harassed, especially since I have an UNLISTED number.  When i answer, there's no response.  I've left them several unpleasant messages telling them what they're doing is illegal as I have an unpublished number, but they continue to call, but there's no one answering on their side.  I have promised them I will find out who they are and stop them and I'm doing my best.  I will find a way....

Caller ID said this call was from "Washington State".  I have received calls previously from Washington State University, but the caller ID shows the 509 area code.  Caller left no message.

This is the Troopers Association for Washington State Patrol Troopers. Please don't confuse this with other out of state groups like the National Police and Troopers, or American Troopers as they have nothing to do with Washington.

I Just wish these charities would take NO for answer. When you explain you are living on pension can no longer afford luxuries.  Much less can't even buy groceries after bills paid. Yet they still call evey week. I guess they think if they harass you enough you will give in. Go hungry yourself, or not pay a bill to get them to leave you alone until next time. Wish I could send them monopoly money that's all I got.

Received call, but did not answer. Caller ID: Olympia, WA. Years ago, I did answer the phone and was told it was the WA ST Trooper's Assoc. and they were wanting donations. I looked online and e-mailed the association for the state troopers in WA about the phone call and donation-pitch, and they informed me that they do not (at that time) phone citizens/residents and ask for donations. So please be very wary of anyone/organization that phones on the  behalf of another person/organization asking for donations. Here's hoping you are staying scam-free!

Caller ID showed WASHING STATE, left no message. I wish these people would get a life and stop disrupting mine. We are on the Do Not Call Registry, but I guess that does little to deter these annoying folks.

This number called and acted very hostile on phone message said "Gee I wish I had a pool too."  I don't have a pool. Can something be done about hostile calls?
