This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Say they want to lower my interest rates but they refuse to identify themselves. - Probably a Phishing scam. - Reported to the FTC.

This number called my CELL phone but I did not answer, as I do NOT answer unknown callers.  They did not leave a message.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list, so I'd like to make their violation public.

I also got a call on my cell phone from "Heather" about an hour ago, I'm in area code 716, about "my credit card company" it sounded suspicious, I pressed 2 for notices to stop and hung up. I am also on the DNC registry.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this #; I am on DNC registry.  "Heather" (recorded) said it was an urgent offer to reduce my credit card interest rates, but did not indicate which company she was calling from.  Options were press 1 for more info, press 2 to be removed from list.  I hung up.  My area code is (646).

Rude and condecending. They say they will contact your bank and get your interest rate lowered to 6.9% and they will charge you 25% of what they will save you. They say that if the bank does't agree they will pull 6,000,000 accounts they have. Sounds more like black mail. Good luck with that one.

Yes, i received the exact same message approx 1:30PM -it said to press 1 to accept the rate and when i pressed 1, the recording said "thank you' and then disconnected-

ok... if this BOA i do have an affiliated account. This number calls without a name, frequently and annoyingly. I've blocked with my Panasonic home phone. They are trying to sell me something and not calling regarding my balance, payment or any other thing that they can can use my email or snail mail for.

Even the "Do not call" list is ignored by this scam of a company.

Stop calls from the reported number from calling me about anything!

These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false)
numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in
this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay. Another course of action is to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small
print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone.  The Telephone Consumer
Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes
or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for
each violation.

I had fun with this one.  I said, yes, I'd like my credit card interest lowered to 1/2 % ... he said, in a very strong Indian accent, "..can't do that but give you low rate."  I said, well since I'm in jail I won't be able to use the card...could you do some shopping for me?  He said, "..oh no I cannot use your card but you get low rate."  I said, "well it better be low 'cause I shot the last guy from India that tried to cheat me."  He hung up.

I missed their call to my cell phone a 4:02 this afternoon.  Sure would like to report them to the telephone police!!T

This recorded credit call came in on my cell phone, which is registered with the do not call registry. I pressed 1 after the recording and told them to remove my number from their list and to never call me again. Then I filed a complaint with the FCC.

I got it too on my cell as a recorded call not identifying the company name. After writing down the number that showed up I also filed a complaint on the DNC list which is very easy to do.  My credit card companies never call me unless they suspect fraud so I know it was a scam.

Called my cell phone (315 area code) at 11:45 this morning, July 27, 2012.
