Guy is going by the name Roberto Mark. this is the second time I got a Paypal scam try. Always double check the phone # on the internet or the payment attempt when it requires anything more than cash or takes extra steps to make a simple sale.

Scam, had several unknown calls then when i did not answer they left a message. I tried to call back and the text started coming in. Will by sight unseen asked for paypal info ect...

Same thing happened to me just now. I stated the fact that I specifically posted cash only sale as I have a motorcycle for sale and I'm not taking any chances. It then responded with it is free to set up a paypal account I need to hurry up and get one so they can send me money. I THINK NOT, Then as I always do I looked up the suspicious phone number and found you all. Don't do it.

Just received a text from this person "working off shore" and unable to call. Wanted to purchase item without seeing it. Asked for email, PayPal info, and full name. Figured it was a scammer and googled the number. Thanks guys for sharing your experiences! You answered my concerns :)

2nd Scam Attempt in two days from craigs list on tractor i posted on Tue AM. Both involved PayPal Info. Text sent on 5/29 from 385-204-5622 and 646-801-4859 on 5/28. Thanks to 800 notes for the info.

Rec'vd message from this person. They were interested in my asking price for an item i was selling online. I was told by a colllegue that its a scam sounds fishy. I'm glad i didnt!

DO NOT respond to this caller's request to purchased your item on Craigs List. They want your Paypal information, email and name. THIS IS A SCAM. Caller was from the west coast and said they were ready to purchase my item, sight unseen. Nobody is willing to risk thousands like that. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is NOT true. Always follow this great advise.

This online scammer was attempting to commit fraud by responding to my ad on craigslist. They said they were interested in my ad, and wanted my PayPal info, said they were working offshore, do no release personal information!
