It's a collection agency.

Someone at this number is calling every few minutes.  They are calling the wrong number.  I am not the person they are trying to find but they don't believe me.

Just got a hangup call from this number--who are they??

Alfalfa, I took your advice and sent them a registered letter.  These people will NOT leave you alone!   They call over and over, asking for some person that doesn't live here. When I told them that, the woman on the other end shouted, "You're a damned liar!", then hung up.  Talk about being at the end of my rope!  My number is on the DO NOT CALL registry, but obviously this company feels they are above the law and can do what they want.  If the phone calls continue after I get the return receipt, I am going to keep a log, and for every call, I'm sending a complaint to the FCC and the BBB.  Not sure that will help, but something has to be done.

They called my house looking for me and offered to help me market my novel, which is unpublished.

The woman had a strong foreign accent.

I have not contacted them, and my phone number is listed on the Do Not Call list.

File a complaint with the BBB and the FCC.  I dont remember what department with the FCC. But I know that when you ask them to look for "that" person in other ways, it may become a harrassment suit.

Alfalfa, thanks for the helpful reply.  I did indeed send a letter to GC Services LP recently using the format you gave me.

Not only I am getting calls from GC Services' 404-321-6444 number, I am also getting calls from the same company at 888-336-9808 regarding the same person's debt which is not mine.

Like I mentioned earlier, I am at my wits end as to GC Services as their telephone calls constitute harassment.

Send them this "drop dead" letter VIA certified mail and request a return receipt. If they continue calling after you have received written proof they have received it, they can face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation:

Received a call from same company I am having issues with, GC Services Ltd., this time using a different phone number.  Left a message on my voice mail asking for someone other than me; caller had a strong foreign accent asking to call back at an 800 number I could barely understand.

GC Services Ltd. has called on numerous occasions and I have told them that I am not the person they are looking to speak with and to stop calling my home phone.  Apparently this company does not know the term cease and desist.  I have no business relationship whatsoever with GC Services Ltd.

I am at my wits end and I do not know what to do at this point.  I do not like the prospect of changing my telephone number (because of all the notifications I will have to make to those who know my number and my sister knows it by heart) and getting non-published service but I think GC Services Ltd. is giving me no choice but to eventually do so if these calls keep up.  Besides, GC Services' actions I feel constitute harassment and I am not sure if I should seek legal advice.
