I've get calls endlessly from these people. They are very annoying and refuse to take me off their list.

I also received a call from someone claiming to be from the American Power Association.  He stated that the company had been hired by the Federal Government to contact home owners and help them to take advantage of Federal funds, available to help reduce energy costs.  I noted that the caller ID listed the call as being from Fasano Olga at 407-460-8533.  When I asked the caller about the caller ID not representing the name of the company, he stated that the number is computer generated and he had no control over it.  He then proceeded to read out my address to me and ask me if I was familiar with the Federal program.  When he stated that the program was for homeowners with bills higher than $100, I told him I did not qualify and they told him goodbye.

Called representing the American Power Assoc. Promising $ from the federal govt; BUT first would need to schedule an appt for rep "who will just happen to be in the area this weekend". Pressured me with questions..."are you the head of the house", "is your bill over $100/month" - repeatedly asked to take my name off list - would not take no for answer - so hung up on them. Ironically they were using a phone number from the area code I live in; when called back the voicemail box "is full". Checked internet for such organization called American Power Assoc...doesn't exist! American Public Power Assoc does, but does not have any such offer or "event" listed on their website. This is at the least invasive and potentially suspect fraudulent activity in a time when consumers are looking for some deals...
