I also received a call from this number, 9:46 a.m. on 5/9/09.  I answered and a recorded message stated something to the effect of "press 1 if you do not want additional phone call verifications of your order..."

I hung up immediately and I too have no idea who the caller is.

These people have been calling my cell phone from about 10 different area codes. I have told them not to call me back or i would call the police, they always want to know what my vehicle make and year is, or something with a magazine promotion, gift order...ect when they last called from this number, i called them back, they answered on this one, usually it is disconnected or something! i told them i was a police officer and i missed her call, and asked what there company name was cause i was interested and she asked me a few questions ( she sounded kinda scared) then i said your company has been tracked by our system, she hung up i have never got any calls back, f*** them. So many peole have been experiencing this, it needs to be stoped, they know your credit card numbers. this is b***s***.

Survey
These people call my cell several times a day.  Today I actually talked to someone after telling them NOT to hang up on me like they always do.  The lady said she was from a customer survey company and they want to give me a $100.00 gift card for Wal-Mart or Target.  I was in the process of leaving my home and told her I did not have time to talk and that if this is something where I have to buy something (give them my credit/debit card information), they are wasting their time.  She said "Oh no, there's nothing you have to buy.  We just want to give you money".  Yea right.  Asked her not to call my cell again but I received THREE more calls within a 4 hour time from them and the last time I yelled to the lady to not call my number again.  She said they wouldn't but I'm sure I'll get another one or many more.

I have received 3 calls from this number today so far.  I don't pick up for numbers I don't recognize.  If they were serious they would leave a message.

I actually did not speak to anyone and ignored the calls, but it is more than coincidence all of these random calls came in over and over right after I ordered this berry stuff off the internet. The berry people sell your phone number and the people who buy it may or may not have been given the last four digits of your credit card #. They are HOPING you are naive enough to provide the rest of the number. Honestly, it doesn't cost anything to cancel your card and reissue a new one. It will give you peace of mind knowing that your number isn't floating around telemarketer-land. My CC was with a large bank and the fraud department told me that the have been receiving A LOT of complaints about the berry company and the harrassing calls we've all been experiencing are linked to companies selling personal information. Ignore them and they will go away. You aren't jinxing yourself...they've just moved on. Be happy :)

WOW... That's no good. Did they know your cc information or just the last 4 digits? Did you have to give them your cc information and the rest of your info or did they have all of it. How much information did they actually have without you telling them? I am trying to figure out if I should have my mom cancel her cc but I don't know if they really knew it or just the last 4 digits, there were no authorized charges or anything.

Well....I may be jinxing myself but I haven't received any calls in the last couple of days.  I also added my cell number to the "Do Not Call List."  I don't understand why something can't be done about scams such as this one.  Its amazing how the government can track down people for tiny tax errors yet huge scams like this can't be stopped...lol :)

Hello All...I too ordered the Berry Acai Stuff...IT IS A SCAM!!! Here is what happened to me. I placed the order and found sites saying it was a scam. I called to cancel my order that I had placed 5 minutes early via internet and was told that I couldn't!! I had to wait to receive the product. I urge you to block your account, cancel and reissue your credit card IMMEDIATELY!! I called my credit card and they put a block on the account, cancel the account and reissued. I received the product today and called to cancel my "membership" that they automatically enroll you in after placing the order. The person on the phone tried to trick me again by saying to wait 16 days!!! that would mean I would have missed the 14 days I had to return the product!!! I said, No, I want nothing to do with the product or the company. He told me to send the product back return receipt or registered mail just in case the company says I never returned the product and can therefore legally charge me full price. That statement in and of itself is fishy. So, i called my credit card company again just to be certain everything was on the up and up. I said, it was my fault in a mooment of weekness that I placed this order and can live with my $4.95 mistake. But since they sold my information to other scammers who have been calling me non-stop KNOWING MY CC information, I want to prevent them from charging further. I will now send the product back right away and give the company the 30 days they are entitled to process any refunds, etc. If after 30 days there is a charge or any kind, I can prove I returned the merchandise and not be held accountable. I may have made a stupid mistake  by placing the order, but was smart to act FAST to fix the situation and prevent possible further unauthorized charges. GOOD LUCK!!!

The she had city part of the address correct.  I'm wondering if it was from something I had ordered previously.  The only thing out of the ordinary that I've purchased lately was the free trial bottle of that Acai Berry stuff.

I'd let your mom know and have her check with her CC company.  I cancelled my card yesterday after the call.

Wow, yeah that sounds like her, I couldn't believe how rude she was, she didn't even get to the part where she wanted to offer me anything but it was really weird that she had asked for my mom and gave the last four digits of the credit card she was inquiring about but wouldn't give the company name she was calling from... definately a scam and that is scary that they have the last four digits of credit cards, was the address that she had correct?? Sorry, I was really frustrated after this lady called and I'm trying to figure all this out and see if there's a way to find out who these people are.

Ashley,

She was offering me a free gift card to one of several stores.  She name Home Depot in particular.  She said that she would be sending it in a package along with other auto benefits.  If I didn't want the benefits, I could keep the gift card.  She said everything was free but she needed authorization to  charge me $1.95 for shipping.  She gave me the last 4 digits of my credit card (which really bothered me) and tried to confirm my address.  When I said I wasn't interested, she got realy snippy.

Ashley--
This sounds like the same woman that called me.  I was in traffic both times she called.  Today, after she said her garbage, I said that I would pass at this time.  She got rude and said...well may I ask why?  I said because I couldn't think and talk in the middle of rush hour traffic.

The whole thing is getting very annoying :)

I got a call from this number today, and it was a very interesting phone conversation. The caller was a female and she asked for Dawn, who is my mother, but she was calling my cell phone. She didn't give her name but said that she was calling in regards to my mom's visa ending in ****. I asked her what company she was with and she replied "If this isn't Dawn then I don't think I should be giving that information to you MAM" (Very rude). I replied "This is her daughter and I would like to know why you have my cell phone number on file for her MAM". Her reply was "I am calling for Dawn and there is no need for you to be so rude MAM". At this point I couldn't see how this could be a real company because the lady was very rude and immature. Then I replied "You don't need to be rude either MAM". She said "You need to have respect for your elders MAM". OMG... I said to her "You need to learn to have some customer service" She was like.. "oh what was that I need to learn customer service, uh huh oh okay well if you are 9 years old then you just need to put your MOMMY on the phone" LOL (I am 20) to that I replied "If I was 9 years old then I probly wouldn't have a cell phone" She made a statement that her daughter is 9 and she has a cell phone(WOW) After that she said "Okay well you need to have your mommy call me back HUN" I said "I don't even know what company to have her call back" She replied "I already told you that SWEETIE" and when I started saying something else she very rudely stated "Ok well have your mommy give us a call back, THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY" and hung up. WHAT A BI***!!! No reputable company would ever put up with this kind of customer service. When I called the number back I got the same Confirmation order message

I received a call from this company 2 separate times.  Each time the number was different...413-322-3060  and 562-361-9048.  They wanted to send me a gift card to a store and some other "auto" benefits free of charge. They said if I didn't want the benefits, I wouldn't need to do anything.  The package and gift card would be free but they wanted to charge my credit card for $1.95 postage.  They had my address and knew the last 4 digits of my credit card.

I cancelled my credit card.  This made me extremely uncomfortable.

Phone rang a couple of times when I picked up there was a lot of noise (like people talking in the background) and they hung up.  When I return the call it says it "cannot be completed".  I searched their # on the "reverse look up directory" and is from Holyoke, MA 1-413-322-3060.  Anybody find out exactly who/what the company is?  Is it scam?
