Received a call today from this number for our General Manager, the man with an accent said he was from Focus. By the variations of "companies" these calls are on behalf one, one can only surmise that this is a call center.

Nothing left, no message...

I've received calls from this number three times in three days. The call quality is always poor. Each time, the caller asks by name for someone who hasn't worked here in over a year (despite me informing them of such the first two times they called). The first two times, they said they were calling from Dell regarding data centers--that is all the information I could get out of them, as they would not provide a message or callback number. The third time, I asked them to please remove our number from their calling list.

They called every day our company in Germany. What we can to do, to stop this? It´s really a bad company and we really don´t know what kind of business they want to do with us ?

They called here as well asking for our controller, CB. I could tell by the background noise and his heavy accent (with an American name, no less!) that it was a telemarketing call. I told him that CB was unavailable until next week, he then asked for CB's email address. I then asked what company he was calling from and he said Professional Employee Placement (or something like that). When I asked him what their company did, he repeated the "company" name. So, I repeated my question and he proceeded to ask for CB's email address and said that he had spoken with him 40 days ago and was asked to call back. I knew this to be a lie and I said that there was a bad connection and I hung up on him.

The above phone number came up, guy asked for one of our salesmen, I said they had just
left, then he asked for their e-mail address. His phone number looked
weird I asked him for his company name, it sounded like Metal Treater, I
think now it was Trader. Since thier e-mail is on our website I gave it to him.
He then asked for another sales person by name and I asked him if he wanted residential or
commercial and he said commercial so I asked him what part number and he
said "Hello" like he couldn't hear me so I asked him what the name of
his company was again and he said Metal whatever. I asked him what part
number he was interested in and he said for me to transfer him to the other party
and he would give him the information and I said what part number is it
and he hung up on me.
He called back several hours later and I put him on speaker so the salesperson he first asked for could listen. He said he had received a phone call from us and they had left a message for him to call back. Our salesperson denied it. The caller didn't even know what products we make. When I wouldn't put him through he said I was rude. I told him the person he wanted to talk to had been listening to his whole conversation, had denied calling him and was refusing the call. He hung up. He had an Indian accent.

some guy just called. very rude! our company policy is not to transfer calls to anyone unless they had a full name (awesome policy). all he had for me was 'mike'. i explained to him numerous times that i cannot transfer him to just 'mike' unless i had a full name. he finally hung up on me.

Answered call from this number. Wanted to send me a free "White paper" on hosted CRM solutions. Must be from CRM Magazine or some CRM vendor.

Keeps trying to call my boss and will not send any information via email. Tries to call different numbers to get past me. Last call was today, 04-06-2011, and before he hung up on me told me to "f*** off".
This company is not professional

Say's they are calling from Microsoft - broken English and drops the name of someone else at your company and says they are supporting your help desk request. Then they try to get you to confirm email and mailing address (which they have wrong). Asked to remove from their list and stop calling. We'll see....

A woman called with a very heavy accent. i could barely make out what she said. she was asking for our marketing dept. told her the person was unavailable she then asked for a time to call back. didnt give her a time and then asked for an email address. didnt give it and ended the call. this call was so frustrating because i could barely understand what she was saying. i have no idea what company she is with. even if she would have told me i wouldnt had understood.

Got a call today from someone with a heavy accent asking for someone who left our company about six months ago. When I told her he no longer works with the company, she started pressing me for information for our new CFO. I asked her for the nature of the call and she said she was calling from Microsoft to see if our accounting department or IT department wanted to attended a webinar taking place next week. I told her we weren't intersted and to remove us from her list. Hope this helps.

My coworker got a call from this number today. Said he was from Microsoft and asked about what VM software we used. My coworker said that Microsoft is in Washington and he's in CA, so I don't believe you. Told him never to call back and hung up. 10 seconds later, I got a phone call from the same person and just forwarded to my coworker to tell him off.

Got a call from Raj claiming to be with IBM. He wanted to send a marketing report but obviously didn't take the time to write or capture my e-mail address as I said it to fast to be intelligible. Then he fished for how big my company's opt in mailing list is. Fishy.

Same as all the above; will report this through channels to security.

Had this number on my caller ID at work, no message, just a missed call; however, I suspect they got my name from my voice mail. I will pass this on to our security dept in case they want to investigate. Glad previous people have posted what they know / have figured out about this number. Very helpful.

It's 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and I get this call - he asked is this was the right number for "insert my full name" and then hung up. When I tried to call the number back I got weird automated re-routing messages and a request to leave a message which I did not.
| Anthony 2011-03-10 16:17:51 Unknown |
I got the call 6 times today. I think they are testing your system, trying to find a hole. I have a PBX and did some checks each time they called, I see that in the logs they tried to activate the DND feature ( Do not disturb ) and then called back to the same extension.
My conclusion is that they are calling your system to try and find a hole in it, then they can use it to bounce the call out in order to make long distance calls using your PBX.

Just got 2 back to back calls that went to voice mail, and no messages left. Any way we can log formal complaints against these people? Not sure how to do something like that.

He calls our business over and over again asking for all different people (IT dept). When one doesn't answer he just calls back asking for the next one. He also asks for people who don't even work here anymore. Very annoying.

Calls every day, never leaves a message. Thank goodness I have call screening on my phone. I don't answer any 415 area codes any more because they call from 2 or 3 different numbers.

Every time they call, the "company" they claim to be from changes. Claim to be selling/collecting etc. Just was some shipping info to send us "stuff" we never bought nor have any interest in buying.
Actually refused to cease calling.
