Unfortunately, I used to work for them.... I was unaware at the time, but they are a scam. They have private homeowners work in a lot of places, but nothing from the banks. The day I found out it was a scam, I quit. I apologize that I ever was involved. They're based in Temecula Ca. They move around entirely too often to keep track of though.

This guy left me a voice-mail, and I thought the message was odd for various reasons.
1. He never actually said my name
2. Said he wanted "my services", but never said what those services were
3. Gave the name of BLONDIE CONSTRUCTION which I googled & it does not exist... at least in my area
4. VERY vague
**ALSO he said his name was DAVE & left his call back number as 315-218-0556**
| Jennifer 2011-11-04 16:08:49 Unknown |
John has decided to go with a different name today (Dave) when he called me from 315-218-0556 saying he was with a construction outfit that was in my area (Sioux City, IA) and would like to schedule us out if we were available. Thanks for posting the stories!

Well, unfortanutely we fell for this alltradesnow.com, they actually used the name contractortrades.com. Told my husband the exact same thing that everyone else has been told and my husband was to qucik to response and paid the $99.00 background check. Now, after reading all these posting I'm fearful of what can happen. Lucky, we gave our american express card number, but stinks that he gave his social number. So now I don't know what to do? Should we pull his credit report? Ever since we gave them our business email, we seem to be getting alot of fraudulent emails that we don't even open or reply to. Any help or suggestions would be great. We've been in business for 15+ years as general contractors and I'm just at a awww about this.

Same here, got a call from them & when I asked how they got my number, she said through a referral or my advertising. Being a new company it's been via word of mouth so far & business is good, thank goodness but I do not advertising. She said someone must have referred me, since I didn't contact them.
I Googled them, nothing. I looked up 'Contractor Trades', 'Contractor Links', even tried to look up their address but do not come up with anything except their simple website which seems unfinished as some links don't take you anywhere and there is no true byline about them, etc which leaves me uncomfortable. However, that said, and to be fair I do not have a website for my company as yet and if you Googled it, would come up with nothing. On their website they give an address at 127 Pine Street, San Francisco, with only stating it's 'administration' but no true heading, so this means absolutely nothing to gain my trust.
I own a company that does haul outs, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, etc and am also a Realtor so having one of my contacts through the mortgage end to look into it for me. They, however, did NOT ask for a CC number, but did state for the background check they need my birthdate and last four SS #'s which I didn't give; told them they contacted me, I don't know of them, and need to look into it of which the person was very agreeable to. Not once were they rude or acted suspiciously but I do have unanswered questions and will not do anything before fully looking into it. Hopefully, it's a good thing, but if not, then so be it; I will report them and continue on doing business via other outlets. I read how the person above called back after confronting them and my guess is he was acting in a manner that got them to hang up...just a thought.

I was gonna call this guy back and thanks to reading these posts I decided not to.
I do offer services in the area and almost fell for this s***.
"Just what I need a slew of phone calls from porn sites" GEEZ!
Good Luck guys.

This company is a SCAM period! I called the company back after a hangup demanding their address, the name of a supervisor and MATT. They slammed the phone down on me. I then called back and gave them a different name and said I had posted an ad on Craigslist, but I really was from the Attorney Generals office and told them that we were closely working with the BBB to shutdown their operation. At this point, they won't talk to me!. Don't give this company any information or cash...

I have got a great customer - friend that has and is still working for FDIC. He tell me it has nothing to do with the FDIC that they claim the back ground check is for and he is doing some research about this so called company. I will have more later.

I got on from John this morning. number on the phone was Ad-Base Systems 315 218-0558 but the call back number on the message was 415-449-8787. Same schtick. Need help on a job site. I asked for the directory. Got a loong bit of hold music before I got Jeanie on the phone. Apparently John works for her. She said they are a handyman/independent contractor business. I told them I am a seamster and she said "sorry, I don't know why we called you. Thanks for calling back." I have an ad with my number on CL too.

I got nearly the exact same message from "John" a few moments ago. Seeing as we're in North Carolina, Im not sure how much help we can be to his California properties...

I got a call from 315-218-0556, left a call-back number of 415-449-8787, and an e-mail to call a person back at 888-253-0541 X7010. I was asked to give my full name, address, cc #, birthdate, last four of my SSN, These are all the pieces of information that allow someone to use your credit card over the phone. Don't do it. They gave me an address of 127 Pine Street, SF CA. 94111.

Still up in the air about this being a scam. I am a new business and for anyone just getting up and going, this sounds like gold! I told Shelby point blank that she sounded like a scam but to not take personal offense, I would just need to do a background check on them to make sure they are legit. Tomorrow I will be calling US Bank's Corp number and find out how legit they really are. After all, they claim to do business with all the major banks and confirmed that US Bank is one they use. Due to the time, I cannot speak with a live rep for US Bank so will have to post again after I talk with them. Hold off everyone, I'll have an answer by tomorrow

Great board btw - I will be checking weird numbers here from now on!
