This is not a scam; it's a legit call from a company called Quality Data Management. They are an independent firm hired out by several healthcare systems to compile customer satisfaction info on their employed physicians. I work for one of the systems that uses it, and one of my previous positions had me working closely with QDM and compiling reports generated from its info. I also happen to see one of the physicians that is evaluated with this system, and get the occasional phone call myself. If you've recently seen your primary care doctor or a specialist, you can ask them if they and/or their system employs QDM for their quality evaluations, although there really is no way to stop the calls - you're randomly selected from a list of your physician's weekly patients. The reason you get dead air when you call back is because the call is routed through a call center and a bank of numbers used for outgoing calls only. Not to worry. If they're unsuccessful in reaching you after a few attempts, the calls will stop. You may get them again, just try to note whether you're getting them after visiting your doctor.

Florence with Quality Data Management left a voice mail saying she was calling on behalf of Oakwood Healthcare (my doctor's office) to conduct a survey on healthcare. She said she would try and reach me at another time. This is not a bogus call, because they called me last time I visited my doctor as well. If I remember correctly my doctor's office may have even mentioned it to me. They know  my full name as well as the name of my doctor's office. Plus they would not say they are calling "on behalf of" because if that wasn't true they could get sued. They just ask questions about your experience with your healthcare provider, nothing that they could steal your identity with.

i got call from this number.  A lady gave her name, and said whe was calling from the quality control dept
at a local health care center where I recently saw my doctor. She used my full name, and also my
doctor's full name/  Iwas immediately suspicious and told her I was not interested.  she kept  insisitng
I take the  survey and wanted to call back.  I  finally hung up.  Afterwards, I called the administration
at clinic and told them about this.  What I don't  understand is how they got my phone number since
I  rarely give it out, plus my  doctors name???  could  whoever is doing this have access to insurance
or medicare claims?   I urge caution to anyone receiving a call like this.

it is metro health survey, i believe, but the fact they leave no mssg & calling back is not possible is kind of creepy, in my opinion. (stupid if they want good survey results...)

I believe this is one of those electronic cigarette companies, they have tried to reach me before and when you answer they try to talk you into buying more of their product...

These people called several months ago, wanting to do a survey about my recent experience at the doctors office. The survey was not short - 10 minutes.  I declined to take survey.  

Was just to the doctor last week and thise week I get another call from them.

Now if they could just learn how to read.

Calls no one answers, Then a few minutes later a collection company with an 800 #, from the same area in Ohio calls back wanting someone who used to have my number.( I've had my number for 2 years and can not help if it's the only one they have on file for her!) They say they will remove the number, and starts all over again on Monday morning 9 AM. They will NOT stop calling even if you never heard of the person they are looking for.
