I got a call from +442689140914 who is this hacker???

Sorry for wrong info, +442 079 686810 is correct number of some London company, no answer was just technical problem... so false alert! But stay careful...

I received call from +442 079 686810 today. No answer, no voice, just some noise.
Looks similar to events listed here... does anyone know what is the sense of these callers? Can it be dangerous?

I just missed a call on my cell phone from 442-074-766639.  No message was left.  I'm in North Carolina and Google says the 442 area code is in California, but I don't believe that is where the call is originating from.  Maybe it is "Hello this is Peggy" from Prime Credit? ;)

Why are we receiving a call from +4420740328. This  number is showing up on caller ID as if it is an international call. How can we block this number?

I'm glad I found this website.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize...they can leave a message if they want to get hold of me...but they are now calling several times a day.  I thought it had to be something fishy.  The number that shows up for me is 441-031-670101.

These are London UK numbers, truncated by your caller ID display.

Call this am from 442-074-1112.  So they are using multiple numbers.
No ID so I didn't call it back.

442-074-6466 I got a call from that one -- I am betting they cycle through various numbers for that invalid area code and prefix in an effort to hide their identity and get you to pick up the phone thinking it's a real legitimate call.

I did not answer the call from 442-088-964500. I searched for international area code 442, and came upon this thread. I also found some links to info about tel numbers in France. I wonder what these guys are up to, but I suppose its like PJ and Ticked say - a scam. I'm going to block it. I won't bother to return the call and verify that I exist.
As far as the Do Not Call list goes: I've never registered, because I figure once your name and number are on an international list, its only a matter of time before somebody gets hold of that list - Wikileaks style - and sells my info to somebody who could care less about the law in the US. I'm hoping to stay somewhat invisible to these Bozos.

442-073-983-700  This number is showing up on 2 cell phones in my house.  As you can see this is an incomplete number and most likely related to a scam.  Whoever this is, please cease and desist.

the number 442-077--23061 showed, i answered, heard only a beeeep,,,,,,,,beeeep,,,,,,,,,. then i hung up. the number called back. i did not answer. it went to voicemail but no message left.

442 is the area code for Southern California
