Mr. Coleman tried that crap with me recently. Everything was rainbows and skittles until God opened my eyes and hadme Google his name.  Up to this point I had allowed him to pay my rent through auto pay; but, it was on hold until June 1st. After this so called act of kindness; God put it on my heart to look into him. I am SO GRATEFUL that I did. I found this site and recognized the b***s*** lines that he gave me! So, I went to the site changed the password and deleted his autopay! When I brought this to his attention...sugar turned to sh_ _ real quick! He said that there was no way I could have deleted his autopay and that he wanted his money back! There were threats made and he had me terrified! That is until I played his game.

His 1st mistake was to call me at work threatening me. So, after that I notified my job and they set it up so that every time I answered a call it would automatically record. This idiot called me again threatening me, and I got it on tape! So, when he called me back, I politely thanked him for the threats he made and let it be known that I would be passing the recordings along with the text messages to the police dept! Thankfully I haven't heard from him since!!!

I was concerned that he knew where I live; but, God loves me for sure! My apartment manager and her husband live next door to me and my upstairs neighbor is a trigger happy man with a heart of gold that will shoot him on sight if I scream.

Because of this jack*** I have deleted all profiles on the 2 dating sites I was on and now I'm waiting on God to send me my future husband.

Ladies, thank you so much for being willing to swallow your pain and share what this man did to you. Yeah, this human waste of space used the same exact line on me about the plane ticket, paying my rent, etc. And when I played detective, found all this information out and confronted him; now he's cursing at me and trying to use reverse psychology on me. He's so hurt that I wasn't willing to trust him? Really?

Yes, you are so right, he contacted me 2 days ago on Tag as well.  Said the same thing, using Coleman as his last name.  He wanted me to come for July 4th and when I could not do that, talked me into this coming Friday for a visit to Los Angeles.  He did the ticket scam and need me to send part of it on Pay Power. I lost thankfully just $100.  

He mentioned the house in Dallas, TX as well.

I Just spoke with Mr Brooke's and something told me to check the name on google. And yes the number is exactly the same. I was about to the same thing. Thank You God, for leading to check this out. I give HIM praise for protecting me. He still using the same number.

Most of these predators have numerous web sites and profiles.  Try to remember, this is how they make a living, just like most people  punch a clock!  Sadly they also have dozens of profiles and names.  The majority of them are overseas, but there are some smooth operators here in the US too.  That's why I'm here!  To inform the world of their existence!

My best words of advice for now, and the future, is to never get involved in ANY long distance relationship, unless you actually know the person, face-to-face.  And I mean NEVER!!!

Second, don't go into ANY relationship with the eyes of a giddy 16-year-old!  Never!  Always keep your wits about you and follow your instincts.  We all have that "6th sense" that tells us when something is wrong.  Learn to listen to it.  These con artists know how to work that instinct, but it still warns you.  Follow it!

I have a rule I tell people, "assume everyone on the internet is a thief."  Go into anything you say and do with that.  It will never fail you when a true thief comes along!

Next never trust anyone on a dating site, of any kind.  Assume the worst up front, and when you actually meet someone real, you will be better off for it.  Sadly dating sites are mostly comprised of liars and crooks.  There are a few good people out there, but its back to the old "needle in the hay stack."  You wont meet that perfect person right away, if ever.

Lastly, under no conditions EVER should you  give out ANY personal information, unless you absolutely know how you are dealing with.  Never tell anyone about where you live, your family, your job, how much stuff you got, who much you make, etc.  Banks and utility company's already know your information  They won't ask you.  Only crooks will!

OMG this man tried to get me as well on Tagged. First off his profile KINGINSEARCHOFHISQUEEN states he is in Los Angeles, and ordinarily I do not do long distance relationships, however his intro was so intrigiung that I wanted to hear what he had to say.  And a smooth operator is what he is.  He had me considering going to see hin in Dallas, TX for the Mary J Blige concert. But I have to tell smething just didn't seem right and personally I don't do reckless stuff like this. So I started an investigation of this Derrick Cole and low and behold I found this blog/website. I was wow'd by what these women had to say and blessed that I did not fall for the okey doke. I have put identity theft alerts on all my accounts and have given him no information. I want them to get this man, what can we do to make sure he is got?

Yep this is so true about this borther or whoever he is.  Told me all the above and tried to get me to come to Texas for a Mary J Blige concert. But I just didnt feel right so I started a little investigation of my own on Google and low and behold look at what I found.....this blog.  Thanks Ladies.....I got him before he got me.

BEWARE!!! ALERT!!! Scammed out of 200.00 by DERRICK COLEMAN. He is on a lot of dating websites, he is a CON ARTIST on there only to take womens money. The dating sites should shut him down, he has a way of being nice at first and then pretending to care when really he has no sympathy for your situation. He stated he would pay my bills, he paid them allright (ON A CLOSED ACCOUNT) and the payments were all returned.  Plus, I never asked him to pay my cell phone bill and he went into my account without my permission. He asked me to send money for a discounted airline ticket because I wanted to go to California (since he works in the IT department of American Airlines, where he said he has worked for 29years)  Afterwards, he was long gone, and SO WAS my ticket IT WAS not  in the mail nor was there any confirmation info. that there was ever a reservation for one.  He lives in Grand Prairie, TX. has a wife and daughter..he needs to be stopped!!

This sounds like a variation of the Nigerian "Twist" scam.

When dealing with any call or contact that you suspect is a scam, try to put them on the defence.  A true gentlemen will never lose his "cool," and would certainly never curse a lady out.  When he starts cursing at you, this is a sure sign something is desperately wrong!  BIG RED FLAG!  Why?  Because he knows you can figure it out, and he would lose all the times he's invested in ripping you off, and have to start all over and find a new victim.

They reason they go off like that is to try to use "intimidation tactics" on you.  Think of it like those police shows, where they bust in the doors and start screaming, "freeze!  Don't move!  Face down!"  What happens?  You get scared, and you do what they want.  Especially is you are not accustomed to being talked to this way, which most people aren't.

Another thing is never, ever, ever trust anyone who wants you to send money via Green Dot Card, Western Union, Money Gram, etc.  Because these are virtually untraceable.  You can trace them, but it just about takes an act of God to get the info.  Company's like these make it easy to be ripped off, but hard to stop it!  You would have to have police reports and a court ordered subpoena in most cases.  (The law is NOT helpful either!)   That' s just to get the records.  You'll probably never recover the money, because the chances are, the phone call is a ghost phone in another country.

Next, listen to his/her voice?  Is he saying he's an American Indian?  Does he sound black?  Than he probably is!  Is she telling you she's from the US and is working in Africa?  No, she lives in Africa.  The only kind of people that would willingly work in Africa are missionary's and such!  Most American people that work in Africa are wealthy business people, and they sure don't need your paltry money, to get them out of what ever they claim is wrong.

Other scams: Does he/she claim to be a millionaire (or rich) but yet some how needs your measly $500 for air fare, legal fees, Medicine, etc?  Does he/she claim they need the money for groceries?  Didn't he just tell you he's Rich?!  Think about every little thing he/she tells you.  Write it down if you have to.  You will see inconsistencies jump out at you!

The best thing you can do (from someone who has been busting scams all of his life!  (Think of me something like Harry Houdini, he busted fake mediums, I bust scams!)

Finally, trust your instincts.  They are hardly ever wrong!!!  Your heart will lie to you every time, but your brain will always follow the logical truth!!!
