Got a call from this number 1-7-13, 1:05 PM.  It's a cell number.  I never pick up when I don't recognize the number
I used spydialer to get the name.  The recording sounds like he's saying Mark Wood.

The best way to get rid of these callers is to disconnect your answering machine and just let it ring.  After a few calls that never get answered they quit.  If your answering machine picks up the call it goes back on their list for a call back.  If you have caller ID and an unknown comes up, don't answer it, let it ring.  If the number is a 800 or 866 number and you have not gone online or called the number, don't answer it, let it ring.

This has worked for me as the donotcall list isn't able to keep up with all the solicitors and the ones that use a switchback number.

You can also set up your phones to ignore the call, or for it to go to a inbox other than your own.  I have a specific ring tone for any unknown numbers and know when not to answer.

I got two calls from them today. I went to make a complaint on donotcall.gov and they said they haven't exceeded their 31 day grace period... okay then?

"unknown name" on the  ID.  Check  800notes.com also for 7 pages of posts.  This is out of control.  Can't we reverse hack these calls somehow?!

these people are scams!  returned their call and it is a t-moble # and out of the country!  I believe they are trying to get your info so they can rob us blind!! Do not give any info!!!!

Got a call from this number a little bit ago with a recorded message about reducing my credit card rates and that I have to hurry or I will miss out on the President's stimulus money. I waited for a person, so that I could asked to be removed, and when a man came on the line, I was greeted by, "F*&^ you dirty B&^%# and then they hung up.

I have told them to put me on their do not call list and her answer was that they don't have one.  Before I could tell her that it was illegal that once I tell them I don't want calls she hung up.  On my old cell phone I set it up that when I got a call from them it would not ring and go straight to VM.  I got a new phone and now I have to start over.

that DNC (do not call) deal thru the Gov is a bunch of crock... Doesn't seem to work for me, and as I read these notes here and others it doesn't work for others. I think it was just a way for the Gov to get your phone number for their use

Lately i keep them on the phone for a few minutes while being really polite, and seemingly naive to their scam. then i get all creepy and say something like "do you know what color the face of a coked up Asian hooker turns when you choke her to within an inch of her life???" usually they become kind of silent.. and i follow up with "i do, its like a dark purple. typically you will have to slap her, or even punch her to bring her out of it... sometimes you cant bring her back" after this they just hang up, but its fun making up twisted stuff to say to them :)

Within 20 minutes of getting the usual "Ann, from Account Services" robocall from 479-274-1769, I got another identical pre-recorded robocall from 828-475-7077.  These people are INSANE!!!  If I ever find them, there will be hell to pay!

Yet another pre-recorded call by "Ann, from Account Services."  This robo-dialer calls me from all over the country, but this is the first call from Arkansas that I can recall.  This is the exact same pre-recorded call that I've been getting for about 2 years now.  Nothing seems to work to make them stop calling.  I've tried ignoring the calls - they keep calling.  I've tried answering the calls and asking to be removed - they keep calling.  I've tried pushing the # button repeatedly - they keep calling.  I've tried answering the call, pushing "1" to talk to a "representative" and getting the other person to talk his/her ear off - they keep calling.  One woman that answered actually had the nerve to suggest that I change my number - and they keep calling.

I have no doubt that they are scam artists out to steal my credit card information and possibly my identity.  They won't stop until law enforcement (of whatever country they are operating in) seizes their equipment and locks them up.

Drop the comments about the "Do Not Call List".  These people are criminals looking to make money in three ways.  One, they are located in a country where they get paid by our phone companies to transmit the phony number information they send that shows up in your caller id.  Its not much per call, but they make thousands of calls.  This money is guaranteed per call.  Two, they fish (phish) for information from people who believe their 'interest rate reduction" bull and give them their credit card information.  They also sell the information on the internet to others to increase the money they get from this part of the scam.  Finally, when you answer or call back they sell your "live" to other telemarketers (legal and not legal) and make money there.

The government and the Do Not Call list are not going to protect you!

These people are relentless, they just keep calling and calling and as of yesterday the male who was on the phone offered sexual services to me. this is absolutely ridicoulus and something needs to be done.

I asked to talk to a supervisor and requested to be removed from their list because I was on the do not call list. He indicated that the number that shows up on my phone is a bogus # and basically there was nothing I could do. He then asked me if I had ever slept with a black woman. I hung up. I have reported this to the do not call list many times with no result. Now I just hang up. Who ever is paying this company to promote what ever they are selling is getting screwed. No one is ever going to contract these people to do anything or buy anything from them.

The DoNotCall list only works for calls made from American\US soil.  Many of these calls, while having a US area code, are placed from a PBX or similar setup off shore.

Another reason that our government is a joke with this donotcall.gov. because it doesn't work with these people. Or in that case several other telemarketing companies.

479-274-1769 keeps calling stating this is last opportunity to reduce "my Credit Card Rates." When I press 1 as directed they either cut me off or someone does come on line. When someone comes on line I try to let them know I am on the "DO Not Call National Registry. They usually cut me off and do not let me finish the part of not having a credit card and that if they call again I am reporting them to the Washington State Attorney Generals for phone harrassment and fraud.

If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.  If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit.

The first call, I pushed 1 because that was the only option.  When I told them to take me off their list, they hung up.  Got 3 more calls after that.  Good thing they are 500 miles away.

They call my house and cell at least 5 times a day, I have told them everytime, I am on the do not call registry they hang up and call right back. What else can you do to stop them. It is really getting out of control. HELP!!!!
