Woman asked for my wife and when I asked who was calling, she hung up om me.

I called and asked to be put on the Do Not Call list. She was very nice. Wish it was always this easy, but we'll see if it works...!

Non-profits are exempt from the do not call legislation.

this firm has called multiple days with a recording- did leave a message. Called them back and asked to be removed from call list - - very polite woman apologized and said she'd take care of it....at least they were nice and seemed responsible.... we'll see.

Made a DNC list complain anyway.

they called my house, when I answered a recording said they were calling to lower my credit cards interest rates, so I played along and hit 1. A guy came on the line and said they could lower my rate. I asked which card, he said my Citi MC and Visa (only have one, of the 2). I said to him I'll call the number on the back of my card and he hung up. Without a doubt, this was a scam to get my CC numbers

I'm on "No Call"  list for all the good that does!

They are a for profit company that is overly aggressive. When I told them that they were not properly identified on my caller ID and I don't take unsolicited calls...They called back and demanded I listen to them and to go on my computer to look at their website. They are horrible people

Until we learn to enforce laws with a vengeance, there will always be ways around the system.   I get no less than 15 calls a day (toll free, unknown name, name not found) and never get a message.  I am on the Do Not Call List, and it is as worthless and teats on a boar hog.  Senators-stand up and enforce.  Mr. President-stand up and enforce! Otherwise laws and agengies serve no purpose.

Telemarketers, unfortunately.

This is a regular caller. Caller ID Says Out of Area. I never answer. Moose above has it right. The rules governing the do-not-call list are far too lax and need strengthening.

Why even bother passing do not call list legislation when companies ignore it?

I irritated the person who called me by calling him back repeatedly and then not talking to him. He finally begged me to stop calling. I don't care if they're non-profit. I did not request a call from them and they have the nerve to blind-call me, disturbing my day, and then call me by my first name like they know me.
Just as bad as a telemarketer. If I don't ask you to call me for services or assistance, then don't call me.

They register as a non profit to get around the do not call list,.. but still are telemarketing services in reality,...

Why anyone would deal with a company that solicits business in this manner instead of having a reputation to where people would go to them is beyond me

They are actually a non profit, I dunno much about how they operate, but they are at least on the face legit enough not to call you again if you ask them to Do Not Call.

Received call regarding my credit cards...  Non profit organization offered free information, they check with the BBB, "A" rated no complaints.  My interest rates are already low so I didn't need any help.
