I got a call from that number and hung up, but not before figuring out that it was a twenty-something kid talking to someone named Robert. I also tracked it to Everest On-Line College. Very strange.

To the shills that say "just talk to them and ask to have your number removed", nice try.  You're just trying to get us to listen to their sales pitch, and they never bother to remove your number.

What we all need to do is waste the caller's time.  I usually leave them on the line with the volume down.  When they're done their pitch, I ask them to hold because they have the wrong person and I'll go get who they want, then keep them on hold until they hang up.

A national campaign like this would help it come together.  Eventually it won't be worth it to hire people to make these useless calls.  

To the shills who say "they're just doing their job", I say tough.  They're wasting my time and minutes by calling me, if they don't want to waste their own time, they shouldn't call me.  I have NEVER given out my phone number to this or any other related business.

If someone you don't want keeps calling you constantly you would be annoyed too! These companies continue to call even after you ask them to be taken off the list. I understand the person calling is only doing their job but come on....have a little understanding for the frustrated person who doesn't want the calls continually, there's no need to be rude.

its a college, you probably were messing around online and put your number in somewhere for them to call you , they think you want information thats it. They called me because i did the same, i was not rude i put my number on the net. Just ask them nicley to take you off the list because you are not interested in furthuring your education.

It's not that simple.

I've talked to them about taking me off of their calling list and they said I had been removed. I don't get any calls for a few weeks, then they proceed to call me from yet *another* number. They're sneaky like that. Please don't say it just takes common sense to get them to stop when I've tried. They are very persistent in what they do, so no, it's not that simple.

It stops when you tell them to stop. Common sense people. Stop complaining and pick up the phone to tell them to stop. I would understand not to pick up the phone if you can't find out who they are, but if the caller id says its from Everest college, they are not bill collectors (unless if you owe them money). So, pick up the dang phone.

Yeah, even if you do talk to them and ask that you be taken off the list, they wont' call for a month but then it starts up again.  I emailed the head of Everest as well and said that I wanted off the call lists and that I was absolutely furious about having received 88 calls from this number in just a week!  It just doesn't stop.  She apologized but I said its the worst way to get students and that just based on that, i would never go there.  I don't know what else to do other than change my number now

Please have them take my number off the calling list...I have no interest in going back to college, i'm 62 yrs of age...don't call again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's annoying!!!!

Who cares where you live..If you post your phone number online..It is going to get called. If you don't want to be called, simply ask the agent(who is just doing their job by responding to you) to remove your number..My God..I love how everyone wants to make a huge deal out of the smallest of things..Chill!

Some AZ area code keeps calling me from this number. I didn't answer the other due to still sleeping. But it has proceeded to call me. Who the hell is it? Im not finding out either

I just got the call a min ago. They claim to be another one of those stupid online colleges.

My God, keeps calling me every 5 minutes and I am not answering.   ID is showing Everest On Line.  I'm a college grad!

I kept getting calls from a 420 number, that turned out to be from an Everest College too, and I finally picked up and told them to take my number off the mailing list, now I get calls from this number...the 480 number...they call like 5 times a day.
