I'm almost positive that cell phones do not have caller IDs. The number has to be in your phone.

I rcvd text msg, 2!! Said based on my resume have job I fit.. need to register at JobNab. Beyond that, no idea who specifically sent msg.
Think I know where got my cell ph# (CareerBuilder), but few days had that acct open, I specifically stated contact by email.
Texting costs $$, unless have unltd texting.. sender of msg is not privy to those details!

I to received the "Hi, I'm Deb, Based on your resume you match a job I'm filling. If you register at jobnab.com we can discuss the details if you're interested." message.
It looks like a clever marketing device from Jobnab_com to get job hunters (like me) to register on Job Nab.
Personally, I think it's a clever use of my procured phone number and the knowledge that I'm searching for a new position.

Got a text message from this number this morning. They saw my online resume and if I'd sign up at jobsnab.com, I would be contacted for an interview. It's a real site, but nothing is said about whether or not it's fee for service. My scam-o-meter is all the way in the red zone.

I recieved a text "Hi, I'm Deb, based on your resume you match a job I'm filling. If you register at jobnab.com we can discuss the details if your're interested."
Colonel Mustard 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
But what job did you apply to that got you the text?
George A. 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
Mystery solved I guess.

Here's what happened when I went to the site. I filled out two pages of information and was given a phone number to call. When they answered the guy confirmed the information I typed in was correct and then asked me some questions about the types of jobs I wanted. Then he said they'd start sending me updates with jobs in my area that meet those requirements. I was given the option of how often I wanted those updates and i said daily. When I got the jobs a few I'd knew already, and a few I didnt. I followed the link and applied for them. Does that answer everyone's questions?

I got the text and went to the website. It's a job matching service that interviews you real quick to see what kind of job you're looking for and then sends you jobs in your area that you can go apply to.

What's the website about? The one in the text?
Linda 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
I have "Ninja Kitten" for the name of my boyfriend in my phone and every time he texts it says Ninja Kitten. So it's in the phone not the text.

Text message - no caller ID.
Teddy 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
I'm pretty sure that I pay extra to get caller ID on my phone. Maybe if you don't pay for it you don't get it.
Calvin 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
I got the text too. I've been applying for so many jobs lately so I can work after graduation it could be about a hundred jobs.
Bob 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
So did anyone visit the website to see what kind of job it is?
nancy 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
I didn't get anything in Caller ID, but the text did say it was from a girl named Anna.
penelope singleton 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
Cell phones are different than other phones. They want to limit the amount of data sent to keep costs down so they don't send caller ID info. The number has to be in your address book to come up in caller ID.
LULU 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
No, caller IDs are in the number programming. If it doesn't come up it's because there is none.
Lavendar 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
Got text. No caller ID but message was pretty clear. Said that if I was still interested in finding a job to visit their website. Prolly got my resume off of Monster.
gary 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown

Jackie 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown

Llwelleyn 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
No caller ID here either man. Who sends texts to people they don't know?
susan 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown

melonie 2011-06-06 20:50:22 Unknown
