It is actually not illegal to charge interest,and in some cases it more than doubles your bill I looked into this.But I didn't have the same experience you had.I actually dealt with them thru a law firm in Idaho and they allowed me to pay what I owed minus the payments I made to a previous agency.

This is a collection company out of California that is clearly in violation of FDCPA... They charge debtors dbl of what they owe...This company should be reported to the FTC..They threaten the debtors with lawsuits and debtors feel that they have no recourse...Companies like this should not be in business..
