Is there anyway to try to nab the folks at the other end of this line.  Certainly a scam...eats up gobs of your time. very annoying...  This number is a landline in VA--so the elaborate texting mechanism via this line is probably non-traceable. But would be so good to get them off the streets..I mean the airwaves!!

We who use craigslist really do have to follow the many changing scams out there..

now have learned... any mention of being off shore but part of a military base is a scam.
never voice-to-voice communication.

Notice they say "am" instead of "I am" - sure sign of a Nigerian scammer.

If they mention a "shipper" you never heard of - it's a scam.
If they want to send a check, use Paypal or pay more than you ask - it's a scam.
If they mention Western Union, Moneygram, or Green Dot - it's a scam.
If they will only contact you via text or email, or claim to be deaf - it's a scam.
If they can't meet you in person - well, you know the rest.

" You're US military? If you're in Shahbaz, are you moving to Hawaii? If so when? Please repeat all after test drive; the message was cut off."
