Someone using the same name and address but with a different phone number wanted to purchase a ring from me on Craig's list. The number on this was 203-441-5748. We offered to meet them halfway with the ring and then was told he was in Sudan.

Received e-mail wanting to buy my bus. Wanted to transfer money to my e-mail acct.  Definitely phishing.. most certainly hacking.

I was also contacted from (765)416-3059 claiming to be this "Anna". Tried to pull the same scam from a craigslist posting. I almost fell for it, but caught them in a lie about where they were located. "She" first told me Indiana, then tried to say she was out at sea.. Last time I checked, Indiana was no where near the coast!

Classifieds scammer.  I've actually gotten texts from several different numbers (all the same messages) offering me more than my asked for price on my wedding dress.  They stop responding when I tell them cash in person transaction only.  Don't agree to sell anything to these guys!  They will take your item(s) and the money and you'll never hear from them again.

I also was contacted by this number for a wedding dress.  It was broken English and wanted to arrange a pick up date.

Luckily we figured this out without googling first, but out of curiosity I wanted to see if anyone else had been tried by this Anna Ruben using 571-969-5974 & report what they tried on us.
They contacted us from a listing for a wedding dress we had on Craig's List.  They left this # asking us to text if the dress was still available.  Said they could only pay with Paypal, which is great other than they didn't send a payment through paypal, they sent a FAKE paypal noticification e-mail.  The fake paypal invoice/notification said they paid $700 for the dress & $500 for shipping.  They thought they could get us to wire by Western Union $500 to a "shipping company", when we text back and said "send us the $700 free & clear to our paypal account & to pay their shipping directly themselves", they became demanding said "I want you to go now & send the money via Western Union".  What idiot's "why would anyone pay anybody anything to sell something"?  Oh, here is the name and information for where they wanted money wired to:  Tamieo Clark Greenbrook Parkway in Memphis, Tennessee 38134

Pathetic! This number was texting and emailing me for a week about wanting to buy my wedding dress and trying to get me to send them $600 to western union. Ha not falling for this scam!

Western Union! There's them words again! You knew, but NEVER, never, ever use Western Union, or any form of wire transfer, for a business transaction. It is CASH! Untraceable cash.

I have gotten 2 text messages from this number. The first was a Mrs. Thomas I had put a wedding dress on South east Texas. Com this women wonted to buy the dress even sent me a check for $3500 was only asking $1200 she wonted me to put the check in my bank make a western union check for the rest. Send it to a wedding planner lol. Well I'm not that stupid. I pride into this found out who the check was for it was a man that ran a big company and the checks had been stolen. We tore the check up per the mans request. Then two days ago a lady name Anna text me wonting to see if I was still interested in selling the dress. I said yes she started that she needed my pay pal account I said I don't have one she said then give me your account number I will pay with my pay pal and it will go into your account and I will pay for package and mailing so what Evers left you can send me back. AGAIN IM NOT THAT STUPID. Something needs to be done with these ppl before they scam the old ppl in our world md wipe them out. This is some sick sick scummy people that need to be in Jail.

This number texted me wanting to buy a Oak bed I had on Craigslist.  It looked fishy from the onset, so I Googled it to find out others have been approached as well.  Stay away from whomever this is using that number.

Got the same today... sent my email address, but it is unrelated to my cell phone...   have no $'s in PayPal.  sent "DEAL IS OFF.  YOUR SCAM HAS BEEN REPORTED TO CRAIGS LIST"..   they have gone silent.

just got same text, like all you guys, saved me time and energy to not respond to this guy.

Listed a Bedroom Set yesterday and got the email "Is it still available for sale" and text at 571-969-5974! What a scam!! Thanks to all for posting this info!

I called them at that number FROM A LAND LINE THAT I ONLY USE FOR FAX!!! ha ha!! No answer. That's when I googled all this!! but as soon as I hung up, the fax line rings, I pick up, of course they are SCAMMERS and didn't pick up!

Never texted back from my cell phone, or replied to their scam email.
Be aware and careful everybody.

Got the same text today wanting to buy my entertainment center. Word for word. obviously a scammer. I would bet they are getting your email for hacking purposes and they have your phone number to back up the hack. Bet the next step is to hack your Pay-Pal and steal your money.

I got the same message about a wedding dress for sale that i posted over a month ago. I just sent an email back to "anne" and told her that i was not interested in the scam that she and whoever else is trying to run. so pathetic! Thanks for all the posts!

I too received a text (at 6:30 AM) regarding a wet bar I have for sale.  Same shtick as the rest of you have encountered.  Really pushed hard for me to set up a PayPal account.  He/She gave up when I said CASH, No Exceptions.

They just called me and wanted to buy a $1000 Oak Executive Desk.  Damn.  And I took a zillion pics for them but luckily I just looked their number up on the web and found out that it is a scam.  They are messaging me right now.  At least I found this out before I did a sale with them!

Got a message from this phone number wanting the same thing as all the rest.  I responded with NO PAYPAL NO SHIPPING.  Then they text back with the following:
" Hello this is Anna that is interested in your One man lift- $2800 (West/SW) so I want you to get back with me ....Asap"

Tracked it back to a landline phone in Washington Virginia.  Sounds like they are spoofing landline numbers.

SCAM SCAM SCAM just like everyone else on this page.
