After receiving numerous calls from this number I decided to wait out the canned message and talk with a real live person.  Pressing #1, a woman came on the line.  It was hard to hear her from all the background noise - I suspect this was a boiler room call.  She began her canned speech and I stopped her to ask for the name of the company.  Sh said it was Senior Alert Care.  When I pressed her for an address and phone number she refused to give ti to me.  She asked why I wanted it and I told her to turn it over to Medicare fraud.  She hung up.  NOTHING IS FREE!  Don't give out banking information or credit card information to telemarketers.  If you do, you will be sorry.

Yep, I received two of these calls.  The guy went non stop on the first call and I just hung up on him. Now I see there is another call and no message.  I will have to block the call.

I picked up and no one was there. That happens a lot! I hang up right away when no one answers my hello. I wonder if I would get a recording if I waited a few seconds longer.

Got the same call with the same message twice the past two nights at around 6:30PM.  "...calling to set up the shipment of your Free Medical Alert...  That phone number is a Phoenix area code; 602-9888-0362.  It is now blocked on my phone. It is a "robo-call" and as such is illegal per the Do Not Call laws. I am sure David is correct that it is a "spoofed" phone number. Also correct about the Investigative Reporter Dave Cherry:

I had gotten an obviousg spoofed number a few months ago; "000-000-0000".  REALLY?

This recorded message is a spoofed phone call which telemarketers use to disguise the caller ID. Answering #1 on the phone will get you a live telemarketer to get your delivery address and credit card for the monitoring of the alert system.  The FCC knows about this type of calling but there is nothing that can be done about it other than just hanging up. You can contact Dave Cherry and CBS Channel 5 news who is a consumer advocate who has already reported on this type of scam and has personally interviewed me about this issue.

I regularly report these telescammers, too, but the calls seem to keep coming.

Caller ID says Phoenix AZ

I did not answer so I do not know what this particular set of losers wanted - other than to cheat me out of my hard-earned money, of course.

The second or third call from these vultures.  I pressed #1 to talk to a "professional" to give him a piece of my mind, but no answer.  Also no answer when this number is dialed.  Do Not Call List seems to mean nothing in my estimation.  I report these people on a regular basis.
