This is Windham Professionals which is a debt collection service that picked up alot of high interest student loans from the major lending institutions. I don't have an issue with what they do...its sadly a necessity. What they do horribly wrong is call you a bunch of times knowing full well you either can't or won't pick up the phone. It got to the point where they would routinely call my work even after I told them under no circumstances are they to contact my place of employment and even went as far as to give the number to my lawyer to call them on my behalf to stop those calls. If you have the means to get a lawyer to do this for you I highly recommend it. Know your rights before contacting them. Depending on what state you live in they could be violating your local laws when it comes to excessive contact. A huge issue I had with them was the fact they would routinely call me seemingly right at the end of a shift and would rattle off 3 calls in a row...no doubt to get the reps call count for the day to where it needs to be. That my friend is harrassement....

Furthermore I spoke with a rep over there, made changes to my account, setup an interest only payment and they still call me like its the first time I've spoken with them.... tread very lightly with this company.

They keep calling my sons phone... Yeah, he is 11 years old, just starting his 6th grade summer.

Yes, I too have received a call from this number. I was listed as a contact reference for a John L. Washington, MD. I wonder who he is and how he picked my number as his random choice. I will be calling back to explain this to them, and I hope they will be more polite than the comments I have read would suggest they will be.

I too was called by this number but you know what?  I have my phone go right to voice message so I never even talk to any of these people.  If I had money they would already have it. Today is April 5, 2008 my last pay check was in mid December.  So, seeing as I have nothing to offer them, there is no reason to either answer their calls or return their calls. I have a house with over $20,000 more owed on it then its worth so they can put a useless lien on that, I have no wages, therefore nothing to garnish...So last time I checked there is no such thing as debtors prison so I guess they can all do whatever they think they can...What is Zero times Zero?  That is what I have and they are welcome to it.

Got a vm from this number.  All I heard was someone saying "huh?", and they hung up.  

I've had this phone number for 15 years.  However, the last 8 years I have been getting calls from debt collectors and AMEX asking for some guy who has been using my phone number on his loan applications.  Gotta love caller ID.

What company is this? A woman called and left a message, was very rude, but did not say who she was with. She just said "this is not going to go away so you  need to call me back."

the other night I received a call from this company specifically Linda.  She was very rude and began to cuss at me when I asked if she could work with me about getting my debt paid down.  She told me "absolutly not!! Why would she want to help anyone that lives in a frue frue existence??"  She stated they will do anything they have to to collect the debt!! Who are these people "kuckles" and "bruiser"? Also, I decided to call back the ph number listed the next day thinking there was some form of miscommunication. When I spoke with Lynda she once again cussed me out and told me she will do whatever she wants and to stop calling!!  Ok, I used to be a debt collector and I know there are laws protecting us from abuseive debt collectors.

Couldn't understand the guy on the other line. He did not speak english very well. Ido not know if he is a bill collector or what, but im pretty sure they didnt say my name when he weas asking for someone. Good luck!

I reported this evil people for violating my rights and calling the wrong number and harrasing me.  I had their number blocked on my cellphone for they cannot text, call or leave a message.

Thanks.  That is what I suspected.  They left a crackly message on my machine (sounded like a bad cell phone connection).  All I could make out was that they were trying to contact me.  Well, duh, I would assume so if you are leaving me a message.

I let the call on my cell phone go through to voice mail... They left a message for some Shayda Macanali to get ahold of them, it was urgent.  I called the 877-752-9142 number they left back on a land line and asked for the Kimberly Wells that left the message.  When I was transfered to her, I asked her for the number that this Shayda gave her thinking she might have dialed the wrong number.  She read my phone number back exactly and I told her that I wanted her to remove my number from their file, as I have never heard of that person in my life, and I have had that phone number for 5 years.  She said she could temporarily do that, but if they confirm that number as correct again, they would put it back on their file.  I got irate, and told her that I demanded her to never call again and that I didn't want my phone number associated with them ever.  She said that the people called her from the number she read to me, because she had it on caller ID.  I told her that was impossible because I have had this phone number for that long and no one else has ever used it to call that number.  She was very rude and pretty much told me tough $#1t and that there is nothing preventing them from using my number on their file and that I should call my cell phone company if I am so concerned.

Called again, they are a collection company, Windham Professionals.

Either a solicitor or a bill collector, very aggressive, I hung up on her.
