I got a call from this number, stop calling me

just got a call right now.  marketing scam.  makes me wonder where these people get my number from! arggg

Called me on my cell twice today, no message.  Clearly a scam.

Didn't answer the call but just got a call from this number 30 minutes ago. Glad I didn't answer.

one word...... annoying! the question is, has anyone actually bought something from a spam company??? i thought we've evolved past suck pathetic scams.

Got one too, today, called back and guess what, number is NOT is service. What a headache, they are trying to use up my minutes....

I got called by these guys too once yesterday at 4pm and then right now around 12 am. Both times I missed the call because my phone was on silent but I tried calling back and it said this number has not been assigned. Annoying!!!

Hahahha, got a call from this number, when he asked me for my credit card I told him, now buddy that won't happen, and then he said... "well i guess your neighbour will go then".... hahahahaha.I think they are using a calling card.  Usually when you use a calling card, the caller id of the receivers show a calling card number (which technically is out of service).  Sucks that some people actually falls for this.  I guess my piece of advice is that you hold the guy on the line (don't tell him to f_off) just sound so excited and keep him as long as you can on the line, so at least they don't call too many people.  Now the more i think about, the more i want to kick him in the balls. I wish there was a way to find that guy, and just do as much damage to him as he has done to others.

Just got a call from 604-560-9988. It was an automated call, the computer spoke quickly telling me as a valued Canadian Tire ________ (something), I was eligible for a large sum of money. Told me to press 1 to accept. Then the call was disconnected.

Ask for Customer Service. Let them know you do not want calls from them to Vancouver. The call will be charged to them if they get enough calls maybe they won't call here. I was told if I gave my cell phone # it would be taken off a list.  My worry is once they have the cell # they can sell it to whomever they please.   This not a reputable company.

I wasn't able to reach my phone in time, but when I did this number showed up.  Before I called it back, I went to this link to see who it was that had called me.  Now I am happy I checked it out before proceeding with the call back.

I just got the same call, saying they are from Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire does not have my cell phone number so I know there is something wrong there. I'm going to call Canadian Tire and see what they can do.

Just spoke to Canadian Tire card services. They have had a couple calls about this already and will be reporting that number to their head office to look into. They advised to NOT press 1 and just hang up.

Just got a call from them left no voicemail

Just got this number on my cell.  They said they were from Canadian Tire and I was a valued customer.  Recorded message said something about travel dollars.

Mine was "Because you are a valued Canadian Tire customer". Interestingly I got two calls in a row with the same message from two different numbers. I have a cell phone forwarded to my blackberry so maybe the scammers' shift just started....
