The caller represented herself as a recruiter for a contract position in the Baltimore area. Apparently, she obtained my cellular telephone number by searching for resumes in an online job service (one that I *thought* was reputable). When I started asking questions the caller quickly terminated the call and said that she'd "call back" with the answers to my questions (which were really basic, e.g. "where" in Baltimore was the position). I tried to Google the company (Yo IT? Your IT?) and came up with nothing.

Reverse lookup says the caller is located in New Jersey.

I got a voicemail from a person @ YOH coming from this exact number.  This is their main number.  The call was to verify the employment of someone who worked for me and confirm my reference of the person.  Yes, it is a recruiting firm for employment and it is legitimate.  They headhunt for various industries and companies.   609 area code is southern NJ.  Right outside the Philadelphia metro area in Trenton NJ mainly.
