I got a call today for this too. with a comformation number of 5330... same thing going on on this website, Got a call from Nicole saying I won two, two year memberships and only had to pay the 8 dollar  fee. That a 42 inch plasma was the first prize. Also  that i entered at rivertown or mc sports or alot of stores I never even heard of. What a scam.

Well I actually called the gym (to see if it was a scam) that I had a free 2 year membership too and I did in fact speak with the manager Justin.  It's legit, two year free membership for 2 people just $8.00 a month mantinence, full access to gym classes and everything.

Started going and I love it.  I used to go there when it was called something different, it's a lot nicer now and I can go to the all women's gym too if I feel more comfortable with that

I live in Las Vegas but still have a GR number. Somehow I entered a drawing 2000 miles away in GR and won a prize!! I've always wished I could be in 2 places at once, and I have apparently accomplished this amazing feat - nominate me for the Nobel Prize!!!!! By the way, if you couldn't read through my thick sarcasm, I wasn't in Grand Rapids, didn't enter into any prize, and it's completely spam!

The Details:

She left me a voicemail and told me her name is Nicole, the grand prize is a 42" plasma tv that will be drawn for on New Year's, and that I had won a preliminary prize of a gift certificate.

I just received the same phone call described by the other postings on this webpage - a woman by the name of Nicole calling to say I had won a $1000 shopping spree from a drawing I had entered between May '11 and Nov '11. I haven't entered any drawings in the past year so this seemed very odd to me. I immediately suspected this to be a scam and searched for postings on the internet related to the call and came across this webpage. I can provide some additional information regarding my personal situation that I believe further prooves that this is a scam...I currently live in Colorado and haven't been in the Grand Rapids area since last December. There is no way that I could have entered a Grand Rapids specific drawing between the timeperiod of last May - November. Thank you all for taking the time to post your experiences to this website. Your postings helped me and I believe they will help prevent others from falling victim to this fraudulent activity as well.

I got the same message too. I actually answered the call and she (Nicole) never even said my name. It was soo weird. I even asked if it was a scam and she said no, then proceeded to tell me the confirmation number and where i can pick up my gym membership. Said that the gym membership was to Family Fitness and that there are several different location, but you have to pick it up on Plainfield. She told me that I entered a drawing between March and October either at BW3's, Artprize, or some other random locations. I felt soo weird talking to her because she seemed soo unsure of everything. Screams SCAM to me!

Received a call from Nichole today who said that I entered a "grand rapids giveaway" sometime between January and October for a $1000 Black Friday Shopping Spree.  She said the drawing for the shopping spree would be drawn about a week before black friday, but that I had won a consolation prize and the claim number was 5330.

Got a VM today from Nicole sounding very unsure of herself like others mentioned.  Told me I had won a prize from "The Grand Rapids Giveaway"  Even gave me a claim number of 5330.  I can't remember entering anything and if I did I do not usually use my cell phone number.   Searched and found it is a cell phone in Grand Rapids and also found this.  Thanks for the posts.  I figured it was a scam but it is good to know there are others out there looking out for each other.

Side note:  I think she gets our first names by listening to our voicemail messages and that is why she does not have our last names.

I got the same message although she said that my daughter received a membership and put my name on it.  It sounds really fishy to me.  Didn't seem to know the name of my daughter.  I'm trying to call her back and ask her a few questions but it seems to go into voicemail.

I also got a call from Nicole saying I won 1 of 25 prizes. I don't sign up for give aways so I know this is a prank caller.

she called me too. didnt give a name, only asked my first name. said i won a gym membership. dont know how she got my number, and i also dont know what you can do with a phone number and a first name. seemed to get nervous when i asked her questions......scam

I just got a call from Nichole as well. Said that I won a free 2yr gym membership. Just need to pay $8/month maint. Said she couldn't read my last name on the entry form and asked me to spell it.

I don't recall signing up for anything - ever.

Hmmm. Don't know what to think of this.....

Got the call from Nicole. My husband had a hard time hearing her due to static on the line but she said he won a drawing at a bridal show but the ticket only had his phone number on it and no name.
