Sales call for "loan opportunity"

We continue to get these calls almost every day.  Car warranty is what the message says.  How do you stop these people from calling.  If you answer it, then hang up.  Their message continues and you can not use your phone until it is finished with the message and disconnects itself.  This ties up our business line.  Very frustrating.

received a call from 623.238.6240 at my work...call was offering $ loan for business owners (though my employment is with a huge corp.), press 1 to speak with someone and 2 to be removed (done this several times before), pressed 1 this time and a man picked up asking if interested in a business loan, told him no i was interested in getting my # removed since pressing 2 doesn't change anything...the man sighed and hung up

I received a call from this number and it is the second time. I have no idea how they received my number sinc eI never give out my number and no businesses have it. It is rediculious and i wish i could block them!! They never leave a message and when i call it back i get a busy signal.

Received a call today promoting Health "plan" for the "un-insured"...  Told them they were calling on my cellphone...   The girl told me she would transfer me to that department....   it was a recording and I left my number...

Called cell on 1/4/08 4:24 pm.  Left no message.  I only use my cell for emergencies and when I'm traveling.  It's rarely turned on.  No insurance, survey or prize people would ever have this number - from me.

Got a call from a computer using 623-238-6240. Offered me medical insurance for $100/month. Press 1 to talk to someone. Press 2 to betaken off the call list. No company name memntioned. Most likely someone looking to do Identity Theft.

Its definitely cold calling by a dialer.  They've hit call scripts for my business that I have logging set up on.  Since the number they are calling in on is in a DID block of 100, and has never been assigned to an employee, and is going to an auto-attendant, they clearly have some poor equipment/error checks.  

Keep reporting it people.  The PUC will catch up with them eventually.

Called at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

They left a message telling me that my warranty was about to expire and then hung up.

They called about two months ago and I didn't answer because of the odd area code.  A lady left a message on the voicemail about my recent entry in a survey and she was calling to let me know I won some concession prize.  I do take surveys, but they are through only one company and when I called them, they had no record of the woman or the phone call.  Once I figured out that this number was a bad number, I report each time they call.  It's driving me nuts!  They just called again and hung up immediately.  Unfortunately, I didn't look at the screen before answering the call.

Called and hung up when I said hello. Heads up to Verizon, RCN, AT&T and other Telco's. Pull the plug on these folks that we've all reported here after several episodes. What does it take to cut the cords on these people??

Caller identified self in recorded message as Merchant's Funding. I pressed the appropriate number to get a live voice and requested that I be removed from their list.  He said we will do that and immediately hung up.  *69 is what came up with the telephone number 1-623-238-6240.  I dailed the number because I felt that I had been hung up on and a recorded message said the number was not available.

I didn't answer the phone when this came in, because I didn't know the caller.  When I called it back, they had an automated recording that said they were "Mortgage Services".

We had numerous calls from this number late summer thru fall this year because we made the mistake of talking to them saying no thanks, take us off you list, etc.. Same Extended Warrently BS as other post here. Since then we got connected to the internet through our phone company with ADSL modem , Caller ID,  and another service that blocks phone calls that have had ID's blocked. I then discovered this 800note.com service and stopped picking up numbers I did not know. I only wish I had kept better notes on other bothersome calls like the one claiming to be from Wells Fargo - We called our local bank on those and foud out they were dangerous scams!

I keep getting an automated voicemail on my cellphone.  The messege is incomplete: It starts in the middle of some messege talking about signing up for a prescription card.  Then, it cuts off right after, "to be removed from our call list, press 2."  I tried calling back to get removed from their call list and got an automated messege from "Morgage Services".. The messege said it was calling based on my finance needs.. blah.. blah.. blah.. This messege also said to press 2 to be added to their company's "do not call list."  I pressed "2." This directed me to someone's voicemail (a male voice that spoke the name so quickly it was impossible to hear more than a "S" in it somewhere).  The voicemail then switched to yet another automated messege saying something like, "this voicemail is full.  Goodbye."  (then it hung up on me).

I receive calls form this number all the time and it sounds like the same company who also calls from 734-864-9680.  I also receive tons of calls from 917-210-0345.

Called on my cell 11/26, 11/27, and 12/19. I don't answer and they don't leave a message.  Maybe my cell phone company will block it for me.

Caller ID shows this number 3-4 times a day, and I am on the do-not-call registry list.  My husband and I do not answer it.  However, we are annoyed that we are being called after going through the hoops of registering to NOT BE CALLED by telemarketers.
