I've received 2 such calls, over recent weeks, and my caller ID reads VOIP CALLER

Checking, I learned that the letters mean Voice Over IP - somehow computer generated.

My number's unlisted and long ago I registered on the Do Not Call list, first the one approved by California voters, and when Der Arnold became governor and gobbed the list off on the Feds, on that one, too...

But after filing some 50 complaints with the FTC, some 2 years ago, I learned that the Feds' list probably hasn't been funded since Carter was president, so I've invested in a call-blocker.by CPR.

Now I enjoy peace & quiet, but still look up unsolicited caller numbers here.

Last evening, monitoring ham radio, I heard someone mention a service called NOMOROBO, worth a look...

Got the call, it only rang for a second, no voicemail, called it back, it was the Hey Cosmo thing that was explained in someones post earlier.....I just hung up.  I called it back bc I live in LA and work in Pasadena and yea like wordsavvy wrote, it's a Pasadena # so I thought it could have been someone I knew.  Yeahhhhh no.

My phone rang, but no one was there when I picked up.  Listed as "missed call." Pasadena area code.

Called me.. One Ring no message.. Idiots

They called again.

I received a call from 626-200-4016 at approx 6pm Seattle time.  It rang once and stopped.  No message left, haven't heard from them since.

Well, I just filed a complaint at donotcall.gov.  My phone number has been registered with them for 4 years.  I shouldn't be getting junk calls like this on my cell.

If this is Hey Cosmo (heycosmo.com ) like a previous poster said, they are sooooo evil!  I went to their website, which is supposedly under some kind of construction.  They have a page where they actually expect you to give them your phone number to "block" it or "unblock" it! They're already annoying us with these useless calls.  Who in the world would willingly GIVE them their number?

They just called. 7:30pm est time. Never heard my cell ring, and it's sitting right next to me.  All I heard was the beep it makes after I've had a missed call.

I was called at 7:04PM PST, Jan 25, 2010 with the same result as most.  I didn't know the number, it rang once, no voicemail.  So glad that my cell phone number is now available to be called by these lame services.

received a call from 6262004016 at 8:23 pm with no voicemail message left

I also got a call tonight from 626-200-4016--rang only once on my cell. Left no voice mail.

I got a call from this number - no message left - called back and said not only "Thank you for calling Hey (or Hate) Cosmo, please wait while we retrieve your records..." but then it said it was sponsored by some other company.....I sure wish the do not call list worked, because I'm on it and I keep getting calls like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stupid cosmo tellmarketing line, report this line to your mobile subscriber as a tele marketer and they can be shut down

Got a call on my cell today at 7:04pm. No message left. What's up with calling on Sunday evening, anyway? Lame.

They called me, too!  I received the call, but no message.  It looks like the area code is from the West Coast.

9:31 AM - no voicemail. Didn't even hear it ring, and it's a cell phone in my pocket.
