they keep calling my mom i and she is tripping out nd doesnt knw wat to do but i thinks its fake cuz this happened to me to nd nothing happened and they talk so fast u cant understand them and they leave a fake number well anyways watch wat u do with these people and u can tell its fake cuz they are of iraq descent and im not sayin that to be rascist but it is kinda true and dnt give in to the whole federal agent front thingy cuz its nothing but a aliby and asloanother reason it is fake is because thay said i owed money on a loan but i am only 14

They called saying we owed on a payday loan we know nothing about or have ever had a payday loan threw this company.  Said there is a lawsuit against me.  As we had them on the phone I told them this was fraud and that I looked this number up online and this is what I got and they hung up.  Complete fraud.

Received two calls from this number. From an "Officer Adam Smith".

First time, he was snickering through his entire message, and someone was laughing with him in the background. I saved the message.

Second time, he was more "serious".  Here are details:

He identifies himself as noted above.
He has an EXTREMELY strong Mid-Eastern or Arabic accent.
He says he's with the "Law & Investigation Department"
He says there is a "serious lawsuit against me", and that he wants to "help me with the matter first".
He says my social security number is "on hold by the US Government"
He says that I'm currently "under investigation".
He leaves the 646 number to call back, but my caller ID only identifies his number as "0000".  (I've never seen that before.
He read off my home address.  (I use a PO box for bills and mail.)

I immediately surfed the internet about this number, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this site.  Does anyone have any info on what we can do to stop this?

I am also getting these call from a Mr. John Taylor with a Indian accent... saying that there is a law suit against me... I was told that this is a scam... they just want your information... my caller id says 0000. I have nothing that anybody can sue me for.

i have been getting the same call from the same number for several months and no matter what i say to them, they will NOT stop calling.

I a got from a man stating he was from a law investigation services. I told him to send me the info regarding the lawsuit he said he will visit my house. Doesn't sound professional. Had an indian accent.

i got call from the same number. they really helped me to resolve my outstanding debt without any legal action and also send me receipt of my payment...great...god bless them

got s csll from  the same person with a heavy accent from india,ad that i had a law suit pending and i needed to call to settle law auit, i called bk and asked them that was the of the comp i was calling he persisted on knowing what my was since i did not give him my name they hung up

I got a call from a person with a very heavy East Indian accent who called himself "John Taylor."  He indicated that he was with the "Law and Investigation Department".  This number has shown up on my caller ID several times but this is the first time I have answered.  I believe this is an attempt to collect a debit of some sort.  There seems to be other complaints regarding this "Law and Investigation Department" format.
