This man indentifies himself as "officer James Anderson" of the Federal Government, while speaking with a strong middle eastern accent.  He informed me of a serious lawsuit against me, a hold on my soc. sec# by the Feds, and a lein against my "residential property".  He reads from a script--I have had 2 calls word 4 word (first a voice mail). I took that 2 the local sherriff's office. When a deputy called, he hung up & refused to answer any longer. He isn't real bright, as 2 days later he is calling. when interrupted & questioned he is caught off guard with no ready answers.  Tried the "cash advance" that I "never paid back" and started to stutter when I informed him I had only taken 2 loans in my life & they had been paid 4 years!  I would like 2 be able to contact the Feds just to give him grief--he is posing as a "Federal Officer".

Hey if u can have some fun with them. I did and it made my day ruining theirs. They r from either the middle east or india usually. They sing up for magicjack phone service to get a U.S. number and start there scamc. They r nor under debt relief act regs nor U.S. dont call regs. It just basically like ur neighbor calling you. So what i did after the call was to call them back every three mims for two hours and harass them. I must have talked to eight different people they kept changing when one would get frustrated. I was lmao and it was fun and it was two hours they could not harass someone else. Just call them and say what tell you want to pay and act like u cant follow the instr there giving and watch how rude they get its a great time.

Same thing happened to me. I asked him what city this lawsuit was being filed in, he told me New York city. I asked hime what company he told me Cash Advance, he began asking me to verify my address, my phone number etc., I refused to verify the info and I asked him to give me my social security number since it is supposedly on hold, he didn't understand so then I told him this sounds like a fraudulent call then he hung up on me.

I just call the scumbag and told him that if he calls my little sister again, he won't be gettin' a phone call, he'll be gettin' an up close and personal visit from big brother.

this guy is really pissing me off he has been calling me for like over two months and i tell him yhe same thing everytime go F*** yourself and take me to court its a total scam he cant tell me where i even borrowed money from that im supposed to owe..what a joke dont fall for his scam..

646-918-5157 called stated his name was Mr. Smith. Claimed my name and SSN was under investigation for an "unpaid loan" lmao. Well Mr. Jon Smith who sounded like he was from middle east was Theatening me and making accusations that he was gonna take me to court! The funny part Is, I've never received ANYTHING from collections. Soooo he is a scam artist who needs to get a real job instead of bothering the working citizen. KISS MY A$$ MR SMITH MWAAHAHA LOSER!

This guy, supposedly his name was Jack Smith, called my house & left a message that he was with the federal government and had a case pending against me. I of course called him back he asked me to confirm my name which I did but when he asked me to confirm my address I told him "you tell me who you are".  I was nervous & almost fell for his story but I then asked him to confirm my social security number mean while I looked up his phone # in google and found this page. When he answered he didn't have it I told him to call me when he found it because if he had a case against me for debt then he should have that information! By the way his number comes up P"rivate Caller" The US Govt wouldn't do that!

i just rec'd ANOTHER call from jack smith/aka john anderson/aka sgt officer....the same person as stated above. this is my 8th call from him in the past 6 months. i have never had debt nor do i now. i called him back - no answer. called him back again and he answered "how can i help you?". i told him he's called me repeatedly about a debt i do not have - he said "oh you mean about your loan"...i cut him off and said that i don't have a loan and never have and that my attorney will be looking into their claim b/c it's complete b***s***. he hung up after i said attorney. hopefully he'll lose my number. frustrating AND annoying. so much for privacy laws.

Yes, I too have just received a call stating that I owed money and that I need to pay up or they would take my money, job, and all my accounts as they are calling from Cash Advance.  When I demanded more information about the loan, they could not tell me anything.  He just had my name and telephone number and wanted payment.  This guy had an African accent.

Just got a call from Jack Smith last night. Called back and no answer. GO FIGURE! So called back today and first time he said his name was Jack Smith once again. The next time I called he was he was dective John Anderson. He went on to tell me that I got a loan from cash advance, which I have never gotten. He told me where I work, that I am in college, and he had my Drivers License Number and my social security number. I told him that I will have my lawyer take care of this and he said good luck and hung up. This is a SCAM!!! I have reported this to my local law enforcement center!

Guy called and gave me case number 3137860025.  Told me there was a criminal lawsuit against me for some money borrowed from Cash Express.  I have never borrowed money from anywhere, so I knew it was a scam.  The thing that really concerns me is he had my place of employment, my email address and my old home address.  Should I call the FBI or police?

I just received a call with the same mumbo jumbo...i told him if he wants any money from me he needs to send me something in writing. he simply said ok and hung up. This guy is full of it. Any gullible person would believe this fool especially in a time like this where everyone is concern about there credit. Unreal don't believe him.

I got this call as well and the guy said his name was Officer James Anderson........ When I called back it sounded like the same guy but was like he is on break call back in 30 min.... yeah I don't think so!!!  I asked what company it was and he said Cash Advance and could not give me any more information!!!! It Is a SCAM!!!!!

This "Jack Smith" dude stated that he was an officer and was investigating my address and social security number. After I told him that i would get a lawyer to investigate his claim he told me that he would delete my number from his system. He's a jack alright a jack-a** if he thinks that he's going to get some money from me.

caller, Jack Smith, told me I owed 384.50 from Cash Advance. Which I never borrow from. Told me to get a lawyer, criminal charges would be brought against me. He saw that I have good credit. decided to knock it down to $83.50 within 30 minutes to get back to him. I was being threaten by the police at my door and my job would be in jeopardy. He had the gall to wish me good luck and give me 30 minutes to make up my mind. Claimed the money was owed to Cash Advanced, which I have never borrowed before in my life in the amount of $384.50.

Caller identified himself as Jack Smith.  Yah, right!  Same as above listing.  Said my Social Security Number was on hold by the Federal Government, spoke with a Middle Eastern accent, said my address was under investigation, told me to call him back at this number, then said:  "Good luck." and he hung up.
