That number is a telemarketer; they were calling me to solicit a donation for the California Police Activities League.

They've called four times in the last four days.  Never leave a message.  This is usually a pretty good indication it's a telemarketer.  I check this web site and sure enough...

On Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 7:41 p.m., PT,  and May 29, 2010 @9:29 a.m someone called from this telephone number (650) 878-4897. On my Caller ID it read, "Daly City, CA." No message was left. It was continuously beeping.  When I called the telephone number back today, Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 9:45 a.,m, PT, I received an automated message which said, "We're sorry, you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. If you feel you have reached this recording in error please check the number and try again."

On Friday, May 28, 2010, at 7:44 p.m., PT, someone called from this telephone number (650) 878-4897. On my Caller ID it read, "Daly City, CA." No message was left.
