This smells fishy to me.  Either your contract (assuming that you DO owe any money -- not necessarily a good assumption under the context here) has an arbitration provision or it doesn't.  The company (if it is one, and not just someone sitting around his mother's basement waiting for a date) would not sue you first and only then take you into arbitration.

That is, unless you brought a lawsuit or raised a defense in a lawsuit that the arbitration agreement was invalid and should not be enforced.  In that case, for them to call their arbitrator would be the next step they would perform after they won their lawsuit, so you would know about it already, including the court case.

We smoked out a fake mediation company in Georgia about a year or so ago.  Perhaps Georgia has other, similar problems there again?

One clue that I have found is that, through a Google search, I have found that there are a lot of recent real estate listings giving the 678-384-4428 number using someone named "Kayleen" as the real estate agent.  No last name ever seems to be given.  Disclaimer: I have no idea whether this person is associated with the alleged arbitration company.

business or other wise. If a person is being sued there would be something official in the mail This company is obviously
trying to shake people down for money. I am going to contact the georgia attorney generals office and file a complaint.
Also maybe with the federal trade commision.

Yeah just got a call. I started laughing because the guy had this deep voice that wanted you to feel threatened.  THIS IS CARL ANDERSON!! lmao.  Don't call or answer.  Block it! This company, whatever it is, buys old debt that cannot be  collected and they know it.  They are bottom feeders and prey on people's vulnerabilities.

Ditto last caller. Just received a call on cell phone from 678-384-4428.  

Left a recording that says:

"This is Carl Anderson from the arbitration department.  We need to speak with you or your attorney of record in reference to a case that has been filed against you. Contact my office immediately  at 678-384-4428"

... then, it promptly hangs up.  No identification as to what company, no greeting with our name to show that they know who they are trying to reach (name is NOT on our answering recording on the phone), no goodbye, no identification as to what case or what it's referencing.  

We obviously have no business in Georgia (ID comes up as "GA, USA") and no cases against us -  no arbitration, etc.  no idea what it's about.  Just another loser scammer probably.  AS IF they think we're going to actually call them back?   Laughable.

I keep getting a call stating that this call is from a arbitration office and i or my attorney needs to contact them regarding a law suit that is being brought against me and this not the only number they call from the other number he has called from 470-297-6713 and always leave a message that i can't even under stand

I was contacted via the Internet by a Mr. Williams to order 2000 items from my company.  He gave credit card information for three diff't Mastercards to cover the $5000 plus order with Mr. William Packer listed on the card information. He gave a billing address in FL and a phone number in NYC.  I always verify orders when I don't know the customer, so I googled the billing address and it was a bicycle shop. When I called the shop they said another t-shirt guy had called for the same reason and warned me to be careful. Then I got a call from 678 384 4428. On the other end was a man who spoke very poor English claiming to be Mr Williams. I told him the address he gave me was a bike shop and he said I was wrong. Then I told him I had called the bike shop and they had warned me of other attempts to order tshirts and he hung up.  When I googled the 678 384 4428, I was not shocked to find the number reported on scam websites.  I will be turning this information over to the local authorities.

Even I got a call from the same number at midnight. If you get to know more about these calls let me know. Post your reply on this same site.

Received call this morning from a gentleman whom I could barely understand.  He said the account had been cleared and I had been selected to receive a package from "Money Give Away/Food for the Poor."  He gave me a CINT #50341, 8167480331 and told me to call 876-771-8321 and give them the CINT #.  The area code for the number is in the Caribbean.  It was just wierd and I am not touching this one.
