This number has called several times - they leave no message on answering machine

Claimed to be collecting donations for a fireman's association.  It's a NC number.

Same, got a call, no msg.  If it is like last call, will claim to be from local FD.

Just about every single fire-fighter department in NC calls wanting money, and this is just another one.  I know the economy is bad, but really??? Do our tax dollars no longer pay  fire-fighters?

Received a phone call from this number. No message left.

National Children's Leukemia FUND...solicitation. Same speel as Children's Leukemia (?) word for word.

I got the same "NC Fraternal Order of Police" short message, but there was not a real person on the line and the phone made a clicking sound at the beginning and ending of this broken up message.  Usually, the only Police Fund raising calls I get come from my own county and with a real person talking on the phone.  This call came from over two hours away from my house and I'm on the 'No Call' list. Go Figure.

The N.C. Fraternal Order of Police only donates about 7 percent of its collections to the police! They keep 93% themselves. It's disgusting.

These folks called me and said I had made a commitment to pay an amount for the FOP. I never talked to them. Then the guy got all tongue tied and started laughing and hung up on me!!! Sure sound like scam artists to me!!!

I received a call today, stating they were from the NC State Troopers and were raising money for their death benefit  fund.  I thanked them, stated I was not interested and hung up.  The caller certainly sounded authority like.

They called and knew my former married name. Then asked for my current husband with my former last name too! I hung up on them

Receive a call about every other day.  Have not answered it since it is unknown name and they do not leave a message on the answering machine.  Thanks for all the above information.

No message and sent as"unknown name"... second call immediatley after as "private" -- They are NOT disclosing who they are...

Said they were NC Fraternal Order of Police raising money for their annual community fund drive, pays out cash to families of injured policemen, etc.  They transferred me to a woman to give me more info, she said they were NOT tax-deductible and my commitment to donate would be a firm commitment.  I asked them to send me more information and they won't mail that without the commitment.

What kind of charity is not tax-deductible at all? Sounds like shenanigans to me.

They knew my name..left a message on my machine, "hello Ms. ____"..Could hear a lot of other voices in the background...

Calls about every 3rd day for a week or so.  No message and no reverse lookup. Finally called them back and got a message that they are a professional fundraising group representing childrens organizations, fire departments and others, please press 1 and follow prompts.I think not!
