I got a call from this number.  The person had a very heavy accent -- possibly Indian -- and was calling from an online pharmacy.  I replied using an equally heavy accent with poor pronunciation.  Poor guy spent time trying to understand me.  He hung up after he finally realized that I wanted the price of baby asprin.

Same thing....Heavy accent, said he was from an online pharmacy.  He asked what medications we were taking, and I told him it was none of his damn business!  If these people didn't annoy me so much, it might be fun to string them along.  Usually I just yell at them!!

I keep getting calls from this number  I always hang up or tell them to use the medications themselves  I always annoy them and they hang up but keep calling
So today  l Received a call from an Indian speaking man who said his name was Kevin said I had ordered medications before and wanted to check on new order to ship out.   I very politely asked to speak  to  his supervisor asked me why I said to place my next order I would like to speak to him. Finally after 3 minuets said ok, I used to work min a call center years ago so didn't give up.  Spoke to an other Indian man named James he said they were in India working for a American pharmacy company.  I asked to be removed from call list I asked for the name and all he gave me was  ccare.uspharmacy  I asked for CEO  said was Steve and I believe he said Gordon  when I asked for company headquarters he hung up

30 calls a day

17 Feb 2014

Called, went to recorder, they hung up. What I can't understand is that my message says: "Due to a high volume of telemarketing calls we are forced to screen our calls, so if you want to speak to (my name) or (my wife's name), you will have to leave a message and we will call you back."
It's been that way for four months. We never answer, without exception. The message hasn't changed the entire time either. Nobody has had any success contacting us by telephone in at least four months, and still I get 30+ calls every day. Most don't stay on to hear the message, so I know they've called before and already know what it says. Most show up as a number the phone company says is not a valid number (999-999-9999, etc.). Some with area codes like 001..., fake numbers, most show the caller as unavailable, not available or it shows the name of the state the call originated from. And these are just the ones that stay on the line until my recorder beeps for them to talk, the rest don't wait that long and I get no information at all about the caller or where they're calling from.
This goes on all day, every day. Months ago when I used to answer my phone, 90% of these calls hung up on me after I answered. They were still on the line, I could hear them breathing or other voices in the backround, but they would never say anything, they just hung up.
I can't figure out any logical reason for anybody to do that - it's just bizarre, but after being told that we don't, and won't answer these calls, and knowing that we can't call them back unless they leave their name and phone number, and getting the same result every time they call after months and months - this is beyond weird. These people are psychopaths!
I can't block them because I don't know what numbers to block, I can't block numbers without caller ID because they have caller ID, it's just a fake number and a fake ID. I'm not going to change numbers because I've had this same number for 30 years and too many people know to reach me at this number.
I'm at the end of my rope. The phone company says they have no way to stop them, or even identify them, other than the call blocking features I mentioned earlier that are useless for this situation.
I may have to take them to court for harrassment, negligence, not delivering the services they are contracted to provide, whatever. I'm not a lawyer and I know I'll lose, but maybe they will eventually get tired of sending their lawyers to court and pay attention. I'm afraid it's going to take a lot of complaining from a lot of people before they get off their a***s and do something to stop this crap. So don't just write a note here where nobody sees it, send your complaints and any information you have to everyone you can think of. Phone companies, law enforcement, gov't agencies at all levels, friends and relatives. If we make enough noise it will be addressed. The phone companies could stop it in a heartbeat, they just don't see it as a big enough problem for them to get involved, yet. Let's make some noise and get our phones back!

I get several calls per week for years now. US & Canadian on-line pharmacy. I have never ordered from them. I have tried blocking, threatened to report them even begging them to stop. They say they will remove my #, but they don't.  Then they pass it along to other spammers. Nothing works. Until recently. I warn them not to call me & remove my name & if they continue blabbing I put an air horn (compressed air can) up to the phone & give them a blast. If they are still there, I give them a 2nd blast & hang up. Seems to be working so far? Or at the very least I am getting some revenge on these a**holes, for the years of harassment.

I received a phone call from this number and when I answered, no one spoke, although I heard breathing.  So I hung up.  Whoever it was called me back about an hour later.  I couldn't get to my phone in enough time to answer it, and no one left a message. From what I've been reading, whoever this person or people are is whoever this company is, deals with buying/selling meds online and apparently over the phone, and they are foreign.  I live in the U.S. and from what I've read on a few websites, these people calling are speaking with Indian accents and Asian accents.  I have never ordered any medications online before so I'm not sure how they got my phone number, although my number is somewhat new, so perhaps the person before me ordered meds online.

This is scary. I don't how they do it except that your info was sold by a company you have dealt with.  My rule of thumb is decide which number you will give to family and friends and the other one for contact info for everything else. I know it seems like a waste of time but, try to request that your information not be shared when you receive a privacy notice. Also, if you shop online or wish to go to sites that require you set up an account to sign in or check out, go somewhere else. It's mind boggling how many junk emails I received for printing out a dog food coupon that I couldn't even use.

The real kicker is I don't know of any cell phone service, even prepaid phones, that don't require some of your info in order to just activate it. Yet these creeps can get both of your numbers. WOW.

I ticks me off that I pay for my phone line and so many people like this use it for free to harass me. If you don't know this, already, check it out. If you pick up the phone when an unknown number is calling you, Don't! I have been receiving calls for 5 different people every since I have had my number. They are mostly collection agencies and they have technology in which when you answer the phone, they can pull up your address, along with other information. Even though you tell them they have the wrong number, they assume you are lying. They attach that person's name to your number and address.
I have paid for non-listed number, called state and federal no call registries to try to stop it. It will for a month or so, but starts up again. I have caller id, ( I pay for too), I let it go to my answering machine. (Scammers usually hang up.) Then go block it. If they call with a different number, I will go look it up in the "reverse phone number FREE white pages."
This number you all speak of calls me too. It shows up as located in San Diego, Ca. I can pay to get all their information and harass them back, but why?
Reporting to your congressman, your phone provider and keep a record of such calls is what I do. Most of all-if you can afford caller ID it is best to screen your calls.
It may seem as I have wasted way to much time with all my methods, but time is free$$$$. If you don't do anything, they will get away with it forever. I am constantly looking for technology to bust people like this because if I don't, who will?

I'm told that if you use a virtual machine and you can get the other party to use Teamviewer, then,  if you have the professional version of Teamviewer, by setting it up properly,  you can take control of THEIR computer and make the scammer's  screen go black!  If you have the time,  you could therefore have a lot of fun with them.

I keep wondering if there might exist  some way to shut down their entire internal network.  Just speculation at this point.

I've been getting calls for 4 years from these people. I'm on the do not call list but that is a joke. These people are in India and don't care about our laws.  I had one man say that I was rude and he would keep calling me because I was an ***hole.  Another said that unless I bought, they would keep calling me.  The lines that they use are also equally annoying.  For example, yesterday I said that this was my fourth call of the day ( IT WAS) and I wondered why they kept calling me and harassing me. He said "This is my first time calling". To that I said, "You lie again. You didn't call me, your computer called me". There is no way to be civil to these people as they have no morals and they don't respect the laws of Karma, which in India, are pretty well respected by most people.  I wish that there was a company that could VOIP SLAM their outbounds with a DOS so that they couldn't call anybody.  Sadly, with VOIP, our telephone system is not near as secure as it was with analog switches but the phone companies could care less since they don't want to maintain copper lines and analog switched.  We've been thrown to the wolves with our phone system. These liars from India call me, I SWEAR, four to eight calls every day.  The phone company's answer is to just change your number.....   Bottom line is that we are all screwed by these criminals.

I'm an IT guy and I love it when they do the Microsoft "We have a report that your computer is having problems".  If only I knew how to reverse engineer their computer access request.

Welcome to VOIP hell..........

They can, but dropping a hellfire missile on to the building they are working out of in India is not practical ( although I've threatened them several times now to do just that).

At the very least the NSA should trace these calls back to their precise locations and publish the locations and prevent calls coming into the US that are spoofed.

Fact is, as of now, the US government can't do anything to shut them down and the Indian government won't do anything either.

You have to protect yourself. You might invest in a call blocker.

Because, Jamie, they are in a foreign country. ANYONE anywhere in the world can get a US phone number, primarily because of the greed of our phone companies.  You must cut the snake's HEAD off to kill him.  Tell your Congressman you want only U.S. Citizens to get U.S. phone numbers.   Will it happen?
Only if enough call that Congressmen/women begin to worry about getting reelected.  They'll do anything to get reelected. Look at the horrid mess they have got us in doing that!
