I just received a calll from the 205 # and when i called back they wanted to verify my information. I never said anything more than a simple ok when they said it was for a payday loan that was over 2 years old i told them they had to send something in writing before anything would get done. The caller stated that they would send the information to me but that the debt was still outstanding and that it still needed to get taken care of. When I told them that since 2012 I have filed bankruptcy and also done a consolidation and that everything I had outstanding would have been included in either one. The caller told me that the bankruptcy would need to be proven but that the consolidation would not matter and that I wasted my money doing that.
SCAM!!!!

I keep getting calls from this # threatening my Husband....We have had these calls before....I have asked them to remove my # from the list.  These people are unbelieveable.  The caller was Allison Mitchell.     I have gotten other calls from 205-561-2204 with the same reference#.   SCAM!!!!!

My ex mother in law got a call from 704-612-5237 asking for me. Told her I had 3 complaints, my brother too, and faced possible litigation.  I've never had anything together with my brother who lives 800 miles away and I don't owe anyone anything.  I called number and texted asking which they were and what they wanted. Surprise,  no response. Scam is what it smells like.

I received a call on my job today from a person by the name of Nicolette Branson, stating that there is a complaint against me in the county in which I live, but would not go into details as to why I have the complaint. I asked for a returned phone number because I explained I could not talk to her on the job. When I got home she had left a message on my phone and gave me a complaint number when calling back to reference. The call came from 601-519-0942. I decided to look up the company and got this far. These people will go to no end as far as harrassing goes. They buy pay day loans and try to recoop what was paid and some.

These dirt bags called me earlier today.  They began by contacting an old friend of mine and he called me telling me someone called him and told him "I needed to clear my name ASAP or face big trouble".  This worried me at first.  I got the information the woman gave my friend and contacted her from my desk phone in my office.  I told her my name and she asked for my SSN, I told her I refuse to give out my SSN over the phone for any reason.  She then told me if I wasn't going to comply I would face jail time and be sued for monies owed.  I asked her who I owed money to.  She then told me a bogus Pay Day loan (which I have NEVER got one of these) and said I needed to send her $75 immediately.  I asked if i could have a few days because I wanted to research it, she said no, it had to be paid right then.  I asked her who she worked for and told her I needed some kind of clarification as to who she is, but she quickly changed the subject.  I hung up the phone.  She then called back and said "Why you hang up on me fo?".  I said "Because I have no idea who you are and you're demanding money from me.  If you call me anymore we will not only be in court over this BS money i owe, but for you harassing me also!".  She started yelling, then hung up on me.  Now she won't answer the phone. I intend on reporting them.  Number they called from is 704-612-5237

Representative calls from 'Garrett associates' claiming to have information about (inset name here).  They typically are a family member or close relative.  They are fishing for information DO NOT give them any information.  The more information they have the more believable they make the story sound.  It is a SCAM.  

The caller claimed to be from a law firm and that they 'Settle disputes', but would not give out any information.  They kept asking for information.  The recipient of the call flat out refused to even acknowledge anything that was being said let alone give them any additional information.   Very Smart.  What they didn't know was the name they were using was for a 4 year old child who has no legal disputes.

Received a call from 704-612-5237 from a Christoper Dorsey stating that he is w/Garrett and Associates and they are a litigation law firm. He wanted me to set up a payment plan (and, for my convenience, they can post-date a check!) over the phone. I requested a letter of debt validation and certification of the company, which he refused to give me. So, I dug.

Garrett & Associates is a arbitration and mediation firm coming out of Birmingham, Alabama. I contacted their offices @ (205) 313-9153. Karen, who was so awesome and nice, never heard of Christopher Dorsey. I gave her the numbers that Mr. Dorsey was calling from and she, in turn, called them. They then said they were Garrett, Baretta, and Assoc but people call them Garrett & Assoc. Karen said she told them that she is Garrett & Assoc and the woman from the scam co. hung up.

Another WIN for the smart people. :) PS: The call back number they have is 1-888-778-0488.

These people are Garrett,Moredit and Ross. They are a collection agency. They say my daughter has an outstanding check to Pay Day Loan. They will not say where this Pay Day Loan Company is or even what their address is here in Charlotte. When I told them this was my daughter, Mr Jim Henry said he would give me the information if I would be willing to help my daughter..That is how I was able to find out what was going on with their phones calls.After I got what imformation I needed I told him he had the wrong person and to stop calling this number or I would report him...He was very upset...said I wasted 30 mins of his time...He hung up and I called the attorney generals office in NC.Roy Cooper. I didn't even need to tell them it was Pay Day Loan..She told me ..all I need to do is request a form to mail their office and they will handle the rest...So it sounds like we are not the only one harrassed by this company... So call the office of Roy Cooper 919-716-6400 and maybe these people an be stopped until they set up anotherr "office" with no address.....

They tried to avoid telling me who they were and why they were calling me.  I repeatedly had to ask what company they were before they would answer my question.

They called me to ask if I knew someone with the last name as mine.  They would not directly answer my questions.  They said their business name was Garrett Meridian Ross. They sounded very elusive.  They couldn't tell me how they got my name.
