I called this number back, and nobody answers.  It says "hello and thank you for calling, all our (something i cant make out) are currently on other calls at the moment but if youd like to hold the line, your inquiry will be dealt with as soon as possible" rings two more times then the recording repeats over and over.  Nobody ever answers.

This number is calling my mobile phone, and when I called it back, I experienced the exact same described by Ashley.

I have never tried to answer this one, but I have no idea how they got my number.  I am on the do not call list and also it is my private number that I do not give out to anyone except for close friends and relatives.

I answered it and no responds. When I called once and twice they hang up, third time they answered it but silence on the line.

Called and got silence, then hung up. They called back later and it was a Multi-Level-Marketing scam where they asked for Credit Card.

I got the call from this number, and just silence.

I was mistaken... The first time I was contacted by them was on the 13th - three calls in one day. The second time was on the 18 - a Saturday, for cripes sake! And the third time was today.

The first time I had gotten a call from this number (probably July 15th, but I don't recall for sure), I had gotten three calls in one day - each time, they didn't answer when I picked up. Finally, I called them back and was greeted by a guy with a VERY thick Indian accent. Apparently, the company (on that day) was doing debt consolidations.

The second time (July 17th), yet another thick Indian accent, and they were contacting me regarding my computers health (yes... the health of my computer.) When I told him that I didn't need any help with my computers health, he said "Are you sure of that?" at which point, I pointed out that I had gone to school for computers and that I wanted to be taken off of their calling list.

Fat lot of good that did, as I was contacted today (July 20th) by yet another Indian accent (this one not nearly as thick) offering personal loans. This time, I pointed out that they have already contacted me in the past for different services and that I had told them to take me off of their calling list. I also pointed out to them that I would be contacting the authorities if they continued to call as I considered their continual calls harassment.

According to my phone records, however, the phone originates in Belmont, NC.

Get this call everyday, line open few seconds then hang up...Most annoying. What can be done ?

My mother n'law got alot of calls from 1-704-800-9964. They claimed to be dish network and blah blah blah just to get her credit card info. If you get a call like this don't trust it! I have dish network and they don't promote only send out flyer's. We have also contacted dish network about this matter.

Same here .. calling more then 20 times a day .. great silence on the line... annoying

The same thing has been happening to me.  I answered the call the first couple of times because I thought it was my sister calling and she's from the same NC area.  When I spoke to her later in the day she confirmed it wasn't her. These calls are starting to get very annoying.

The area code is from charlotte, NC, thats all I can find out....I am on the National Do Not Call registry, so predictive dialer shouldn't kick in...but same results as everyone else.

Number ring, I answer. Silence on the line, then disconnects. 5th call in 2 days.

When call comes in I answer and the line is open briefly but no one responds and then they hang up.
