Called and offered a Lincoln Navigator as a winner of sweepstakes. Was not sure when or how I registered. Lady flirted and said that I could pickup unit and she would go for first ride with me. All I would pay is a processing fee.

Hi All, Looks like Im not the only one!! It just blows my mind at how many scams they run. READ THIS: I got a call out of NY on my business cell phone, the guy just ask me to return his call. I returned it and they were trying to sell perscription drugs like " pain meds" etc. He tried to find out what I took and I told him I did not take any medicine and this was a business phone and to remove me from their call log. The more I thought about this I called the DEA and reported it. The agent called me back and said the # had already beed disconnected within that 24hr. period. The Agent told me they are watching a group that are trying to reach the elderly and see if the are on oxcycontin and if so how much and when is it due, then tries to get people to wire western union money, Also these scammers are a large group and have people in different cities to the break in to their homes around the time they get their meds and steel them. WHAT A SHAME!! The Agent told me to tell my family and friends about it and of course NEVER give out any info. He said if things like this is real then they should already have all your info. I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS WHILE I WAS POSTING ABOUT THIS OTHER SCAMMER!!!

If you have a little time on your hands, call the number until you get an 'answer' (auto-dialer). Then let it dial and then make a noise. It will move to the next number... I am doing so know on speaker phone. Any noise (including typing) will make it go to the next number. This is a phone 'fishing' (phishing on the web) scam. But this little tidbit will make them run thru several dozen, hundred or thousand numbers without actually getting what they want.
In the time it took me to type this I forced about 25 -30 dials...

The message I got was that the Navigator was the grand prize. However, the guy said I definitely won, but didn't actually say that what I won was the Navigator. Said I needed to call back. Very cute. Just another scam. I'm in FL and we get them all the time down here - preying on us old dumb folks!

Said Distribution IL when it popped up on the caller ID. This number called, didn't leave a message, and when I called back there were numbers dialed, then silence. Can't seem to block the number, so it's probably one of those numbers some out of country company used to hide their location. Either way, they need to STOP CALLING!
