THis number called and woke us up early on a Sunday. *69 ID'ed the number but I could not call it back.

712-429-0234 showed up on caller id.  did not answer.  no message left.  upon researching find that it is probably some sort of scam. did reverse phone lookup on white pages and says that is unpublished or unavailable.  aventure communication technologies lic, sloan, iowa.  tried to call number back and got message that number has been disconnected.

a indian man called me telling me that i was selected to get a free tmobile phone..because i have been tryin to get a new cell phone i thought it was real.. come to find out it wasn't so i cancled my card and now i have to report it to the credit department? can anybody help me?? i really dont know what to do!!

this number calls me every day more than 4 times and at odd hours theres another one like it too 712-429-0255...im going to do the *57 next time...i signed up for the do not call list 2 weeks ago but i have 2 weeks to go.weird when i called numbers back its says number is no longer in service.

Same info as above, they call about two times a day, say nothing and then hang up.  I recieve calls from this and various other 712-429-**** #'s.  After doing some looking I found the #'s to belong to:

A women there informed me that this company had some #'s stolen when they were being sold, and that the FBI had been informed, she told me she was going to pass my phone # on to them but, they had nothing to do with the calls. Seems to me that this company shouldn't be doing business if they can't keep their info private. Not sure how much of what she said is true.  for all I know she could be working with our "best friend" from "Iowa"...something has got to give...

Someone calls our home phone about 3-4 times a day. As soon as anyone answers there is silence and they hang up. Someone PLEASE tell me who this freak is

I'm so sorry, the correct code to dial to trace annoyance calls is *57. You must do this before receiving another incoming call. If your trace is successful, you will receive a recorded message advising you to call your local law enforcement. You will also have to be willing to sigh forms that will go along with the investigation, which will allow the local phone company to release the call information to the police department. This code should not be used unless you feel you are in threatening or harassing in nature. I hope this helps, everyone stay safe :)

I keep getting phone calls from this phone number. When I say hello they don't say one word then I just hang up. This person will call sometimes as late as 9:30 CT. They seem to like to call 3 to 4 times a day. Must not play well with others so has to find something to do with his time!!! My local phone company told me to dial *53 and after 4 or more times my local police department will get involved. Then this man will have lots of jail friends to play with.

i keep getting calls for this and a 712.425.0254 number
they never answer and they usually wait a while to hang up
when we call any of the numbers back it says the numbers are disconnected.

Someone figure out a way to get this guy in trouble with the FCC. I am about sick of him too.  And I'm reasonably sure that soon caller ID spoofing will be OR IS ALREADY illegal for telemarketers.

I got several calls from this # and no one says anything

some sweet dude called and said i won a $500 shopping spree and a $125 gas card, so i told him to mail it to me and goodbye, then he asked for my mailing address and i wouldnt give it to him, we talked for a while about why i should not trust him, he would not give me his phone number, hesitated to give me his business name (value benefits of america). he is phishing.  he said he would send the cards in the mail (after he told me my address)and i told him i would not pay for shipping or anything, he said there was no catch.  then he started asking for my b-day, i told him do not call.

calls repeatedly no one speaks, no message left. I just got this phone number a week ago.

I received the same exact call from a man with an Indian-like accent who claimed his name was Logan Spencer (right!), ID 53121.  Also said he was VBof America and that my info was obtained by my shopping.  I didn't like the sound of this and told him and he was really pushy and insisted it was all good and that I can check out the site and call the customer service number.  Told me I won a $125 gas card and a $500 shopping spree and all I had to pay was a $2.95 shipping for the card.  I kept refusing and hanging up, he continued to call.  I heard him out (waiting for the catch to present itself) and then it came when he said I could pay the charge by visa or MC and asked for my info.  yeah right.  I told him for the 4th time to give up, cut me as a loss and not to call back.  Pushy, almost desperate... doesn't feel like it is on the level and if it really was, I doubt they would be so insistent, hell would surely even pay the shipping themselves don't you think?

The same company calls 2-3 times a DAY!! So rude. They just hang up when we answer. We've given up. Not sure what else to do.

have been recieving phone calls from this number and other numbers with the sme 6 digits but the last four are always 0345,0258, 0346, 0252, 0256, 0248, 0351......calls early in morning or late in evening and multiple times, asian male saying i won a gas card.  I told him to put me on the do not call list but keeps calling.  Since I told him to take my number off now when i answer the calls no one is there. I am on the "do not call" registry so why am i still recieving these.  OH....and when I call the number back it says its disconnected. ???????

Indian or asian male, saying that my husband bought a gallon of gas from a gas station and listed off a bunch of different gas stations and said that we won a free gas card and started to say that we won some other shopping cards too.  I asked where he was and he said LA, I told him that his number came up in the 712 area code and to stop calling me and hung up.  He did have my husbands last name too and the city and zip code that we live in.  I have tried to call back the numbers, there are 3 different ones from this area code that call.  They all are disconnected when I call them Back!!!  Creepy!!!

calls more than once a day says nothing and when i say hello they hang up..so annoyed that not answering makes them continue ringing til i answer..I also got the same message after calling the number saying it doesnt work

Called me at 2:59 and 3:03 for several days in a row.  No message. Annoying! They call all the time!!!

Hey I got the same call. I told them that I was looking it up in the consumer affairs office website. Same foreign accent.  He said that I was an old customer from Walmart. I told him that ususally walmart has you apply for a rebate or prize on the receipt. He said that they have my information but needed me to verify it. He was really pushy so I asked him, why is he so worried about it does it hurt him as an employee if I turn it down? He said no it hurts me as a person that you do not believe in me. The number I got on my id was a little different. 712-429-0234. He said his name was Mark Standford, his employee id was 1102, and a contact number is 866-916-8814.
He offered me 125 in gas and 500 shopping spree. Gues they are raising their tactics.LOL

Keep calling and hanging up. Before I get out please do not call my home they hang up. Harrassing it is a scam! I am a criminal justice majoring and if I receieve one more call. I am going to call the police and have it traced! #712-429-0234. WHEN YOU CALL TO GET INFO ON THE NUMBER FROM THE OPERATOR THERE IS NONE OR DIAL STAR 69 AND CALL IT BACK IT HAS A DISCONTINUE MESSAGE THAT PLAYS.

i had this guy call from a diffrent # just days apart sayin that i won a $1,000 shoppin spree an he has called from a # that is 1-623-238-6079. it is
an indian speaking male. it is defently a scam an beware cause he most likly has other info about you an he is fillin in the gap's so he can charge your credit card or other. please at any time you get calls were people try to collect info of you, do not give it to them. if they say they are your bank. hang up an call your bank back so your sure that it is them. people can now make it apear that they are callin from a number like your bank by signing up for a service an they can make it come up on your caller id as any phone # they want.

Calls both mine and my wife's cell phone # every day at the same time.  Annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have called my phone a million times.  It's driving me nuts.

This was an unwanted call to my cel phone.  I would appreciate knowing how to block or stop these types of calls.

A man called my cell phone, asked for me by my first name, and asked about refinancing my mortgage. Since I don't have a mortgage, and since my cell phone is on the Do Not Call list, I hung up.

Received a call on 6-1-07 from 712-429-0234.  Didn't answer as it seemed like an odd area code.  The caller left no message.

they called me on 5/21/07 on my cell phone, i asked them to no longer call as this is my cell phone.  they had the nerve to ask me for my home number so they could call me there!  I asked them to not call me at all anymore and to remove me from their list ... well, lo and behold, on 6/01/07 i get another call saying "you have a mortgage right?"  I said "I asked you not to call me anymore, right?"  and she said "no honey, this is the first time I am calling you".  But I have cell phone records that prove otherwise.....

i answered the call from this number, but he hung up before saying anything. after reading this stuff im glad lol! was he calling your cell phones? how do they even get that number?
