It's been calling me for two days. When will it end?

I got a call too, but from 714-450-3876... I call back and I get a recorded message:
*BEEP* YOU HAVE REACHED A NUMBER THAT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN USE.. PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER OR TRY AGAIN...
Must be a phone scam/telemarketer so heads up people!

I don't know why they would call me.....
(This #, 1-(714)-450-3875) I've never been there or called them. It's really weird. They just called me yesterday and I'm not sure whether it would alright to call them back. Could someone please explain!? <:/

WOW, that is pretty harsh! This is just a message center for appointment reminders. It is automated. A harmless call!!!

The explanation from others is correct. This is the same at my company. Our main number displays on the recipients caller ID instead of the phone we are calling from. The person who called me states they work at UCI Hospita.
"This is the standard number left on the ID if you receive a call from UCI medical center. The call could have come from any of the thousands of numbers at the medical center. The caller ID is always the same no matter what phone it comes from. it can not be traced to a specific phone."

My husband has gotten several call from both (714) 450-3876 & 3875, its a fax machine. And he called and talked to someone & they told him that it was impossible to figure out what machine its coming from, because it is part of a trunk line. We dont care where its coming from....quit trying to send a fax to his phone!

Got a call from this number, they did not leave a message. Called back and it was UCI medical center, but the number is out of service!!! What??? Strange.

toanswer your question.. hospitals never leave messages. there are privacy laws that dont allow it. for instance you may share a home number with someone and you or some else may have gotten tested for whatever it may be.. the hospital treats all results and information as private in case people dont want other people to a) know what there getting treated for or b) the results of whatever.. make sense:) lol i probably cpuld have made that a little mopre clear but it certainly answers teh question better than anyone else has.. just 411 the main receptionists number and explain to them either the person there reaching isnt at this number or whatever. im certain they will have no problem taking you off the call list.ive never quite understood why people get so bent about phone calls or messages.. just dont answer or delete it... end done... life is not that serious...to clarify that last part isnt necessarily directed to ashley...it was to a few of the other post on theis thread..:)

This morning I have gotten 5 calls, all from (714) 450-3875 and also from (714) 450-3876. No messages left. I live in the mid-west and have never been to CA or anywhere near there. I'm guessing it has something to do with the previous owner of my cell number, but why do they keep calling over and over, with no messages left? It's weird. And I know there is this spoofing software that allows you to call a number and disguise your own number so that it appears the call is calling from somewhere different, lets say the UCI Health Care Center for example, which is why when some of you called the number back it says not in service. Seems to be something illegitimate to me.

I was told all outgoing calls from the Hospital will register as this number. Its up to the caller to leave their name and direct number for a call back number.
Sometimes they have automated appointment reminders. And if your phone cuts off automated calls, it wont be able to leave voicemail

Harmless call - doctor's office. As others have mentioned, it is UC Irvine Healthcare in Orange, CA. Specifically, it's the office of Bang Hoang, M.D. He's an orthopedic oncologist and surgeon.

When I call the number back, I get a recording that says it is a UCI number that is no longer in service. How can it be out of service if someone just called from that number?!
| wayne reiner 2011-06-06 20:55:21 Unknown |
apparently this is a number for the UCI healthcare center. They are so dumb and incompetant that they call people to cover their incompetant a**. They casn say they returned your telephpone call. It's really stupid and should be stopped.

Can hear background noises but no voice message. When I call back, sounds like a fax tone.
