Same thing, they call about once a week and hang up.  I am on the do not call list!  Who the heck are they and why are they calling?

Get hang up calls from these jerks about once a week. 715-394-5774 "Safety services". Had previously told them not to call. Now I get harrassment hangup calls.

Actually they are registered with the IRS and they are a non profit organization therefore they are exempt from DO NOT CALL LIST

Actually it is legal because charitable groups and non-porfit organizations are exempt from the DO NOT CALL list

After I pick up the phone there is no answer.  I don't hear anyone hanging up or making a sound, just dead air.  I've received calls from that number before with the same result.

Thanks for the number to call. We too have received 2-3 calls a day from Safety Services and no one ever talks and they have called for three weeks straight. The man I talked to also stated he would remove the number immeadiately. Call during normal business hours 1-715-723-7173

Safety Services called only to hang up. When called back, no answer.

Called for law enforcement donation.  Said no.  Told me I dont appreciate law enforcement. Said I dont give to people who call me. He said something I couldnt understand and hung up.

Came up on answering machine and caller ID didn't leave a message and I won't answer if they do not talk.

unsolicited call from safety service. Only wants to talk to a man. I am on a do not call list and they still call.... very frustrating, I will not donate to there cause!!!

Some rude man keeps calling our house asking for my boyfriend. Unfortunately, he is never home when this jerk calls and is very rude when I ask for his name and number so my boyfriend can call him back. He has tried calling the number back but no one answers. He is leaving a message today telling this jerk that this better stop or we will pursue this with the police department if it keeps up. How annoying!!!

Caller ID states Safety Services.  They are very annoying

oNE DAY WHEN A DOOR TO DOOR PEST CAME TO THE DOOR i HAD MY MEAN LOOKING DOG ON THE  LEASH AND THE BLOODY KNIFE FROM BUTCHERING 5 CHICKENS.
I saw the door to door pest and said to the dog "Toby we killed 5 should we make it 6 or let him wait till next time."That door to door pest squealed out and  could be heard squealing for at least a mile.

Wanted to add another bit of info. When getting calls from another law enforcement group, they did not provide caller ID. This is a requirement of the CTPA for all telemarkers. Failure to do so, is consider a violation and $11000 per incident fine.
As I recall that group too claimed to be a non-profit organization, but was not listed on the IRS website as a tax-exempt non-profit organization. This is how the CTPA distinguishes who is exempt from the CTPA.

When I informed the person they had no caller ID and that it was illegal to do so, he assured me that everything they were doing was legal. After about 5 minutes of arguing with me about this, he still had the nerve to solicit a $100 donation.
I told him to forget it and said next time I would donate a complaint to the FCC and hung up on his sales pitch.

Another thing, since they are telemarketing in Wisconsin, they are required to be registered with with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as a telemarketer. WACTP also handles complaints and maintains their own do not call list. Visit https://nocall.wisconsin.gov/web/home.asp for more on that.
If in fact they are telemarketing without a permit and are not a non-profit organization, WACTP can fine them and effectively force them to cease calling.  

I no longer donate to any of these since they all call me. I have no way of knowing at the moment whether they are legit or not. Or sort of half-legit. Many of these law enforcement groups try to collect by credit card. Simplest thing to say is "I don't have a credit card" or "My card is max'ed out"

There are something like 4000 registered non-profit organizations in Wisconsin. Those do not include the organizations that are registered as a national.  Next time you get a call from one ot these, ask them how many of those 4000 organizations they make $100 donations to each year or in some cases each month! If that doesn't work, tell them that you are collecting for your favorite local group and solicit a donation. Say when you receive one from them, you will send your's in.

I want to also mention here, my brother is a fire fighter, which is why I donated money to one of these groups to begin with. If you feel compelled to donate to a group contact your local fire/police/sherriff. They all have local funds or support groups that can accept donations directly. At least you will know where your money is going. Donate by phone, chances are 10% of your money goes to where you intended.

I keep getting calls from this 715-394-5774 which caller ID says is Security Services.
Using information others provided above, I did a search for both Security Services and
WI Sherriffs Deupty Sherriffs Association at the IRS website. Neither is listed as a charitable organization. As such, from my understanding of the CTPA (Comsumer's Telphone Protection Act), unless they are listed by the IRS as a charitable organization, they are not exempt from the requirements to maintain Do Not Call lists.
Also if Security Services is soliciting donations on "behalf" of a charity, they are required to maintain do not call lists. The key words here are "on behalf of". There are quite a large number of professional fund raisers who are NOT non-profit organizations. In fact most deduct "expenses" from donations, which varies between 70 to 90% of the donations. In other words, they are paying people to make calls and are in fact a profitable organization. So ... if you are on the National Do Not Call list, file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) at www.fcc.gov/donotcall. I have filed complaints, and they have contacted me for followups. So something will happen. In the least, the FCC will issue a Cease Order. If that doesn't work, they can access a $11,000 per call fine.  However, you need to at least attempt to ask to be placed on their do not call list. If they hang up or fail to cooperate in doing that is considered a violation of the TCPA and is another $11000 fine. You also need to log all times and the gist of the conversation. Add the information you know. You can find more information on this at the fcc website, including the TCPA. Also since neither is a charitable organization, chances are they are or will be in trouble from the IRS.
I made the mistake of donating to one charity in Wisconsin and they sold my number to everyone else. So ... soon  as I have enough info logged, I will file a complaint.

A man called asking for my husband who was not available.  Caller was very short and said he would call back.  I asked for his name and he hung up.

I just got a call asking for a family member that wasn't home, I said she wasn't home and asked who's calling, he said he is Mike and then hung up.  Very impolite.

Call the WSDSA front desk @ 715-723-7173 and ask them to take your name off the list at Safety Services. The guy politely took my number and said he would take care of it right away."

715 is an area code in Wisconsin.  I also just received one of these calls from this number today.  Hope they like my machine cuz that is all they will ever get from me.

ASKED FOR OUR DAUGHTER AND WHEN WE SAID SHE ISN'T HER, HUNG UP.  HASN'T LIVED WITH US IN 8 YEARS.

Call was identified as Safety Services.  My wife answered the phone and the caller asked for me.  She told him that I wasn't available and if he had a message for me. He didn't say a thing in response, the wife hung up on him.

Calls come late at night. No one speaks when I say hello. Call their number back, I get no one.
