This is a phony debt collection company. They are not accredited by the BBB nor are they legitimate. They search old collection record illegally and then try to get people to pay on already settled debts. They chose to harass me non-stop for a debt that a relative had over ten years ago. I am a California State Marshall and in the process of getting them investigated and shut down for mass fraud.

It's Niagara Credit Recovery. I just got a call from a nasty woman saying she was trying to be civil, that I had been served with legal notice (I haven't), however, she refused to reveal what mystery account I owe on, just to send $1,500 and she won't take me to court. In the past I had a Mr Meeks call stating I was being sued if I didn't take care of my husband's credit card bill NOW so instead of fighting him, I decided to take care of the bill since I was at work, and the whole thing is a big production, they state you are conferenced in with their "witness" plus my bank (we weren't) and then they force demand $1,500 out of the account. Come to find out, the money never went to the bill, Mr Meeks doesn't exist when you call them back, and there is no way to recover the funds since they record you saying "yes, I will pay the $1,500 for my husband's debt" and didn't physically waste time flying to wherever to see it physically get taken and placed wherever.

I kept recieving calls from this number and 1st they said that there was a law suit against me, then I started recieving letters in the mail. Then they started calling asking for me like they knew me with out saying where they were calling from. So i called the number back just now and told them that i was willing to "pay off" a past debt through them. The representative "John Aughdman" told me that after i paid in full they would report the debt as "paid in full" on my credit report and not report it as a settlement. I then asked if i could get that in writing, and he seemed nervous. He said he could email it to me. I told him that I wanted a letter with the letterhead of the company and a signature. he got irritated and told me that i wouldn't get it in time to take advantage of the offer. I told him i wanted it anyway for my protection. He said that he would send it to my email in 10 min (it doesnt take that long to email) and that he would send the letter as well... i don't think I'll be hearing from them again.

She called me left a voice mail that there is law suit against me.. It looks like a SCAM..

this is to ms. dukes,  they are calling because they have a valid claim on you, I personally checked. I can tell you this is not a scam, and regarding Lizzy's post, I strongly agree, get a copy of your credit report before you call them, this way you can verify anything they say.

I too was receiving calls for awhile with no message left; I finally called them to see why they were calling me. Unfortunatly, after doing some research and contacting my attorney, I found out they are a legit company..they were calling for an unpaid credit card that I had completely forgotten about. The woman I spoke to suggested I consult my credit report to verify this was on there before paying my bill (which it was). She was nice enough to work out a reasonable payment plan with me. One of the "gentleman" there was not so nice however and I'm glad he's not the one I deal with!!

I get a call from this phone number a few times a week, but no message is ever left, I just want them to stop calling me, I dont know who they are or what they want.

This person called me while I was at work when I told them that I was at work.  They wanted to continue to talk when I told them that my boss was calling me back to my desk, then they asked me when would be a good time for them to talk to me about something that I owed to First Cash Pawn.  I emphasized again that I did not have time to talk to them and disconnected the call.  I also told the person on the other end of the line that I was using someone else's phone.

well, I got another call from them today, same thing on the voicemail as a year ago about a civil suit.  they are so full of s*** and very unprofessional.  I like how they wait nearly a whole year and then call again.  retards.

they call harrassing me all the time over something that was paid off like 8 years ago.  i have perfect credit with a 720 score.  anyways, they call all the time making rude remarks and i turned the tables on them!  now, i call them everyday, blocking my number and each time i will ask for mr. weeks/meeks whatever the main idiot's name is or the other people's names that work there and i say i am with ncr (their company) trying to collect on their "debts" lol and they get so pissed off!  one of the guys that answers sounds like the batman off the one that came out with heath ledger, so when he answers i tell him "hello batman, this is tara with ncr and you owe me a lotta lotta money!!! - pay up buster!" and he gets so pissed and starts talking crap.  oh well, that's what they get because they are just a big scam, and they aren't even good at it.  lying, calling looking for me for a debt that has been paid in full for 8 years, saying they are looking for Tary Lynn, and that she left this number to get a hold of her and they want to hire her for work.  how pathetic.  not even professional in the least bit.  PUNKS!!!!!!

Got a call twice from this number. No one answered. It's pissing me off because they are calling me at work. If anyone knows who this is I would graetly appreciate the information so that I can make this stop.

hilarious.. I did the same thing sort of.  The guy sounded "foreign" with a name of Dennis something... I asked him if his mother was ashamed of her heritage to give him an "american" name.  That ticked him off and after I harrassed them for awhile, they asked me if I wanted my name taken off their call list.  What a scam.

This # goes to a company that I had my attorney call to settle a debt when I was going for my mortgage. He said they were pretty helpful & the matter was resolved quickly. Seems reputable to me.

CALLER SAID SGE WAS A MRS JOY WITH NCR AND SAID THERE WAS A CIVIL SUIT AGAINST A MARY MCCULLER IN GWINNETT COUNTY.  I TOLD HER I DID NOT KNOW A MARY MCCULLER AND SHE HAD THE WRONG PHONE #

I received a voicemail from someone at this number, saying that a civil suit had been filed against me and that I needed to call them back immediately to find out how to settle the issue out of court. First of all, that information is not allowed to be left on a voicemail. Second of all, this is the second time a company has tried to do this to my cell phone #, and that time I researched it and it was a SCAM. I'm sure this is the same thing.
