I found out that the numbers are used by inmates contacting their family members, they use your own number as a third party and are able to get through to the phone company, like Qwest, Verizon and AT&T, then they patch the person through to their family. My phone wasn't even hooked up on the day of the charge and I notice a charge from evoiceservice.com and transaction clearing. It is a service provided to inmates! Contact the FCC, FTC, and BBB. These are scammers, along with the phone companies that are allowing your own phone number to be used as a third party. You don't even have to be home to hear a phone ring or confirm that you won't accept a collect call, ridiculous!
