I have received a letter and check from FSB Financial, Inc. Does not appear to be legit.

It is useless and morally wrong to attempt to cash a check you suspect as being fraudulent. First of all, it won't clear and your bank will charge you a fee for a returned check. If it somehow falls through the cracks and clears, it's still fraudulent. Your bank will have to return the money and will deduct it from your account.
The proper thing to do is provide copies of what you received to your local post office and your state's attorney general (address easily found on the internet). They will take it from there.
This does NOT mean your identity was stolen. Only that they used your name and address.

My husband received the same letter with a check enclosed for $3,800.00 stating he had won $525,000 instructing us him to phone Tina Osborne or Victor Fleming at 1-604-767-2568 to activate the claim. I looked suspicious so I decided to google names on the check and found this site. Wheww! this could have been bad.

I also have received a letter and check from FSB Financial, Inc. The letter states that I will rcv a lump sum pmt of $525K when all requirements are met. The check that was included was for $3,760 this check does appear to be legit. I to am curious what would happen if you deposited without calling. My contact people are Nancy Melbourne or Justin Parker. The letter goes on to state the importantance of confidentiality until the funds are rcvd. Who are these people and was your identity stolen?

I got the same letter from JBJ Financial Inc. Today the 14th. I am in Austin, TX. Has anyone tried depositing the check into an unused or little used account?
I am curious to see what happens. According to the baking codes, this is a legitimate check and they can be held accountable if they refuse to pay it.
I'm dying to know what happens.

OMG! My brother got the same letter in the mail. I was very suspicious about it and I warned him not to deposit the check because it is a fraud!!!. I called the number above and Victor Fleming sounds like an Indian guy.
Be very careful not to bite into this type of scam. They will steal your identity before it even hit you! I already reported this to Fox 7 News - 7on yourside. I also included the link to 1-778... number so they can read the whole report from other people.
